It wouldn't be good for the band and for David himself, who admitted the facts and withdrew precisely for that and to get treatment. As for the band, Pierre took over the bass for the studio. But I admit that on tour, an official touring bassist would be better (There is one apparently, hidden behind the stage but no one from the band, the band's entourage or the touring bassist himself has made an official announcement).
He should be back, Tom from blink182 got back of all the bad things happened from him and seems nothing happen and fans forget that coz they enjoy the concert. I idolize bass players, David is one of them. He should be back.
simple plan took a leaf out of my book, play to a click and record a bass guitar track to it, it works great and now we can be a 3 piece with a sound guy and not a 4 piece with no sound guy cause theres no money for it. Bass tracks RULE!
