This theme song was sung by Metabee in the series, Junko Takeuchi. She's the voice of Gomamon (Adventure, 02) and Takuya Kanbara (Frontier) in the Digimon franchise, and of course, Naruto!
I must say, both US and JP openings are awesome in their own way. I love Takeuchi Junko's voice. It's a real shame that everyone knows her just for the role of Naruto.
USA version is a crap like Digirap shitty opening, the only great opening on USA version is the first opening of Pokémon that actually is better than the original.
For the last few recent years, from a much older perspective, theres something a little fascinating to me about youth-oriented media throughout different countries and decades, seeing what's similar, what's different, and whats changed. Especially Japan's "younger" anime in the 90s, seeing how colorful, simple, and angular it looked by design. And while feeling "modern", "neo", and "sleek" (to me anyways) still used hand painted cels and backgrounds. As kids ourselves, we were blindly and completely immersed in the media. As an adult, it's interesting to see "how" they made it work for younger people, through strange designs, bright colors, and strange sequences. All this with the intent of being made for THEIR elementary school-aged kids (in the 90s).
@@lasarousi it's because their marketing team believed that concepts that are "too foreign" to the young audience watching the show might not be appealing enough to hook them on the show, and hooking the target audience on the show is the main purpose of a theme song.
@@lasarousi Personally I think the kids here in the US would like both theme songs. The Japanese style paper fans and Japanese dusters are items they wouldn't know what are and I think it might go over their heads, but they did alright with animaniacs so I don't think it should be a problem.

In my humble opinion, I find both this and the US openings to be equally awesome. US Opening for getting us to stay on our seats excited for what's gonna happen, and this because it gets the viewers hype as hell.

If I had to choose the best version (English or Japanese), I'd be screwed. They're both great, although the English one has that great American-y Saturday morning cartoon feeling to it, what with the "Metabots!" jingle.

idk, I guess I have some kind of unpopular opinion, but I prefer the US over the JP one. Growing up with the catchy op and then rewatching the series, I was always hyped to watch more, but I can understand how it doesn't show much esp how the US op hypes it up so much that when I actually watch the show, it's dull and there are a lot of dull moments and some fights barely last. (There are some good fights, but the show hypes it up like Ultimate Muscle.) For that aspect alone, the JP one conveys that while it can be dull, it also gives off a mysterious aspect in the show that introduces the viewer to a more "what's the show gonna be like". I know lots of JP ops do this and it's fine, but when you have short attention span or you have a multitude of anime to watch, u'd rather go for the opening that catches your attention on the spot vs the one that does its job and expects you to watch the rest of it if you're interested or not. **Tho Season 3 sucked. Almost the whole cast is gone and no referee?! Eff that.**
A very fun opening. After seeing this jp op, I am very certain...well, its just....the way Ikki and Metabee interact with each other is very much like Charlie Brown + Snoopy. I dont' know why but it gives me that vibe lol And its hilarious

I'm surprised that many say this song is boring. I suppose It's probably because they don't understand lyrics. The beauty of this song is lyrics,a bit old-fashioned but hot blood.
Yeah with Nae,a young woman who pimps medabots(she fixes Metabee),some kid with glasses named Zuru,a fat guy Ginkai and creepy kid named Kam.Ikki and Arika are same.
I guess it is a matter of opinion, but Medabots is the only anime which I, personally, actually don't think the voice acting is too bad in English. I always have to turn the sound off during the opening though, because if I don't, I just...Die of horror. xD

Ever since Medabots i loved the aesthetic of robots wearing capes.
