    Dear learners,
    It is controversial point.
    In some books, 'suggested to me' has been used.
    But in some other books, 'suggested me' has been used.'
    So, you can use 'suggested to me' if there is an object in the reporting speech..
    But it is sure that "proposed to" is used if there is an object in reporting speech.
