- The Trojans just wrapped up another official visit weekend and they got another commitment. Now we wait for the news to become public. I have a recap from the weekend and what to anticipate in the next few days with announcements.
The show's second segment focuses on USC fans being so angry all the time. I explain why USC fans are blaming the wrong people for the way they're feeling.

I kind of got caught up in some of the negativity. When I know we have to prove it on the field. SC hasn’t played any defense since before Riley. We are doing a great job of recruiting just look at the guys who have visited. Been a long time since we have had those kind of players visit. But SC is in those recruits head. Play good defense and I see different results

They tried to lock down the backyard. Where are you getting this narrative?? The local recruits are running after money period. So, stop with this narrative. They brought in Alumni, has the coaching staff etc. The NIL has to get on board its not the coaches.

Did people forget that it took Harbaugh 9 years to win his one National Title? And that was after good years coaching Stanford and a Super Bowl entry with the 49ers. Unlike Harbaugh, there is still a lack of trust in LR's ability to build a strong defensive mindset. Hopefully, improvement this year will build that foundation for future playoffs and championships. Fight On!!
When these recruits see how good we are this season they will come to USC! It's not the coaches fault it's our pathetic NIL department

Hope things work out. Maybe the decommits will recommit. Maybe they’ll get solid 3-4 star fill ins. If they follow through on the commitment to defense while LR continues to work his magic on offense, they’ll be just fine.

People don't seem to realize what a mess Helton left, which roster would you have wanted to coach coming into the 2022 season USC or Oregon?
No we're not blaming helton anymore lol it's been 3 years this is Riley's program now.
USC needs to not be bashful about the amount of money it has. Buy up all the good players while the rules still allow it.
Marc, agree there is a lot of frustration out there but after a decade and a half of mismanagement and feckless dysfunction.....NIL is just one more issue in a litany.
NIL needs one voice and not different groups trying to throw shade at the others.
I am Not Angry about recruiting, with all the contact work done this spring, good things will happen if they show the kind of improvement we expect, on the field. Win, and they shall come. FTFO!

Saw a video on RUclips about Stubbs visit to USC. Stubs look like he had a great time on the visit. His parents look like they were having a great time with the visit. Their manager/handler Seemed impressed what USC had to offer. But During picture taken, his father looked pissed. And I wonder what news he heard to change his expression so hard and fast. I think it was all about the money. Go watch the video for yourself. Not sure what it says for the program, but it is what it is.

I do think part of this is the coaches fault and their strategy. Marc donyou think they didn’t offer Jayden O’Neal bc of JuJu originally being in that class? I just can’t fathom one wouldn’t offer a great qb like that right in their backyard.
In today's college football, you're only getting one marquee QB per class. The days of bringing in two per class are done. Riley picked Ju Ju.

Rumors are circulating we don't actually land Dee and he is going back to UCF to see if they will match our offer. His GF and his 4 year old son aren't moving across the country and he has said he wants to be close to them. I have a sneaky feeling we are getting played to simply get a kid more money. I hope I am wrong though (but it seems to be the buzz coming from people close to him).
This what happens when you make excuses for the lack of commitments that’s what happened when Riley was at Oklahoma one of the reasons why he couldn’t get big defensive recruits to come to Oklahoma
I appreciate the updates but I'm not spending a second of my time worried about silent and verbal commitments. The number and quality of recruits will likely correlate to how well the 2024 season goes. Wait and see.

Why is it fans' fault when we have these "high expectations"? We have had things told to us and then the opposite happens. We were told NIL problems were solved, and when fans hear that essentially players can now be paid starting next year, one would think schools like Oregon no longer can buy players away from us. But from what I can assume is you referring to another vlog saying NIL is the problem and promises have not been kept to these recruits. Why does it always seem like USC is the major school that has these issues? Why does it seem like USC is the only major school that gets used by recruits to garner the attention from the school that recruit really wants to go to? Why does USC always find themselves in these situations? As a fan of USC it gets exhausting hearing things are going to be great only followed by bad news. I'm just saying. 🤷🏾♂️
Your full of it, just look at Oregon, Texas, Ohio St, Georgia just to name a few. They bottom line is $$$ and USC is just not competitive. Who is responsible for that, not the coach.

If you were truly a Trojan fan I wouldn't have to explain myself, marc just stated truth and facts period.
Marc one of your best broadcast. You have accurately described the frustration of many fans including myself as you know lol .
The heightened anxiety is that the football program has been in the wilderness with wrong ADs and coaches , leading to a decade of not USC football tradition .
I think the hiring of Riley was the right move . He did make a big mistake last year by having Grinch being the DC . That put the program behind at least a year and a waste of the talent of Williams .
However , he and Cohen have made the right moves with the
Great new defensive coaches . They are doing an outstanding job in recruiting and I have confidence the defense will be much improved with better schemes . In addition the culture will be much improved as it was terrible by the end of last year . Also I like Riley is young and will learn and is determined to win at the national level .
My personal frustration is what I heard is that there is a lack of coordination with the collective and the coaching staff . Where coaches are making promises but the collective not keeping them . If this is wrong I am willing to be corrected . I do think though the coaches should concentrate on California recruits with intrastate high profile recruits. Anyway , if we didn’t love USC we wouldn’t be so frustrated. I think I mentioned my Dad went to SC with a VA scholarship, fighting in WWII. In addition I ran track at Pierce college and SDSU. At Pierrce my coach was Bob Chambers a famous SC 880 runner who made the Olympics. I am mentioning the above as USC runs in my blood . They need to be in the national rankings conversation. And I hope they are truly committed with the right people to get them there .
