Back in the 90s I spent a year in Western Minnesota. Rented a place on a lake and ice fished just about every day. Biggest was 29 1/2" walleye and 21 lb pike. I've been in Alaska over 30 years and still think that year was one of the best.

This is awesome. I too went out ice fishing during Vikings game in MN (Tonka). Caught my first walleye ever! 21”. After half time my insulated pull over couldn’t handle the wind cold so I went home to cry about game
Even if you only wear those fur lined crocs with clean socks after you shower and are really careful with them within 3 months that liner is going to smell absolutely rancid and will need to be washed multiple times to get them clean and after 2 or 3 times the fur lining begins to get holes in it. I even used a tooth brush and dawn dish soap and needed to scrub and let dry 2x just to get the smell out. Your better off getting the non fur lined ones and wearing wool socks
What a way to ice fish And with friends even better. Sorry on the end of Vikings season But 14 wins is better than only 2 other NFC teams and the North is still the toughest division in football!
we are having a tough year for ice in central alberta canada this year. Its wild to have above freezing temps in January and most of the winter up to this point. Not sure what to think
