Last season I purchased my first flip over shack after upgrading from a vintage clam suitcase style shack. You touch on all the reasons I love mine and why I decided on the nanook as well. I have the Jason Mitchell edition similar to yours with the lightbar, battery holder, cover, I also got nice padded seat covers as well which is a nice option. I love mine because it makes a great one man fishing flip over with space for 2 if you want to fish with a buddy and you won't kill your back dragging it out on to the ice or loading it into your truck. I have found it also fits into the back of a mid-size suv as well as under the cover in the bed of my truck. Absolutely love this shack. Also great tip on the chair flip over idea! Keep up the great videos and be safe out there!

Yes, I really feel this is a good size for a lot of my fishing. I have a larger hub style and if I go with several people I use that. No one shack is perfect for every situation, but this Nanook will cover many of them. Thanks for the feedback!

Your video was spot on. I have a clam one man that is 24 years old and still going strong. If I could I would just change out the material for insulated.

Yes, the insulation upgrade really does keep it warmer. There are a lot of good brands but you can't go wrong with Clam. Thanks for adding in.

Great video! I think I’m going with the XT thermal non- ice team. I want something I can fish and camp in, but is light enough to drag by myself. Thanks for the info!

Yes, everything is a trade off. This unit is really light and easy to handle for a 2 man flip over. But as you probably noticed the sled is not as deep as some bigger models. Maybe that is a factor for some pulling it behind an ATV or snowmobile in deeper snow. It just depends how you use it. But for most of my ice fishing it's perfect.

@@KnettersPracticalOutdoors I've been on the fence to go with the all in one or just get a pop style.

Cant wait to get rid of my Otter. Way to heavy to drag by hand. Hoping the lighte clam sled and design is easier to drag

Every less pound helps. My old Voyager, with my old 35lb Jiffy gas auger was just getting to be too much. Glad to have upgraded both! Let me know how the Clam works out if you get one.
