I find that 200 is basically the limit for consistency and accuracy after that it’s still very possible to make hits but groups open up to around 2 moa out to 300 yards then doubles again out to 400
I was used to shooting centerfire so the seeing big groups at 300 was a bit discouraging but then I had to remind myself this is a .22 lr it’s meant for 50 yards.
@@BROTUNEDI shoot ELR rimfire, there’s a whole lot left after 200 yards, but at the same time a lot more goes into than what you’re doing here. I’m shooting a custom built 26 pound rifle, lot tuned ammo that’s weighed individually and grouped with like weights. I love what you’re doing here man, it’s been a long time since I shot a simple setup and I’m not going to lie, I miss it sometimes. Keep up the great work man.
It’s good to see the chronograph data at the same time as the impacts. That demonstrates that velocity consistency isn’t the only thing that affects group size precision. I’ll think, “Average velocity, right in the group,” but then, “Average velocity, but why did that hit there?” Wind can have an effect, but often there’s no obvious external factor explanation. And again: More examples of why groups consisting of a small number of shots don’t prove anything. At one point three shots almost touched, but the fourth was nearly 2 inches away. Thanks as always.
100% that’s why I try to do minimum 10 shot groups anyone can get half moa 3 shot groups at distance but it’s more of a fluke than the accuracy and precision of the system.
Great to see your Lithgow. I have never shot any long range with mine. FYI...CZ magazines work in the Lithgow, but stick with the plastic ones. The metal mags jam up a lot. Thanks for a good video.
Great job, thanks a bunch! BTW, at around 7:30, you reload a mag cartridge that was already stacked in the chamber. I have a mag that does this to me too, and it often causes a flyer, just like it did for you. I'd just remove that particular impact from the Ballistics-X set.
For your target camera, you can move target with a small angle (not easy explain here). The camera must be facing the target at 90 degrees to make it easier to edit (straight target). The little angle of the target is relative to the shooter. This way it moves the camera away and it looks pretty in editing. I love your edit, nice job.
Back in the day when I was shooting centerfire lined up at the 100 yard line with a 22 and shot those groups were around 6” and I had no idea how good the rifle could get down to moa at that range.its a lot of fun though
The first round was higher velocity that the others. The dreadful cold bore shot. Blowing through the barrel with a straw just before the shot bring it in line with the others.
@@BROTUNED Jip, he also made a video about what he learned from others. My one rifle always shoots about 30fps faster on the first round and 1 1/2 inch high right at 100 meter unless I do it. Some rifles don't. Why I don't know, maybe because of the gasses inside the barrel when cold.
Great video! It’s amazing that a 22LR round can group at all at 200 yards. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

@ That’s my next try 300 yards, looking for a range in my area that has that distance.

I have heard that about the metal mags. Thanks for the tip!
Good Job. I was rooting for us on that last target. So the camera wouldn't take a hit. Thanks for your time.
Thanks! It's tough trying to keep the camera safe.

I show angle at 2.55 secondes ruclips.net/video/tCMz30KYSeM/видео.html
Thanks! I’ll keep that in mind for future videos!
Dude! With that scope?
Can't imagine what would happen with some better cross-hairs.🤔
Fine shooting sir!🫡
Yes I need to invest in more glass but that’s the expensive part. The rifles and ammo are cheap.
It's all good
You bet
Great shooting! Did you fix the free floating?
Nope I haven’t modified anything on it yet
LUV THE VIDEO RESULTS NOT BAD🤔🤔.... YOU TRY RUNNING THAT OIL PATCH THREW UR BARREL YET???
No I haven’t. I’ve been working a bunch lately haven’t shot anything in a couple weeks now but I’ll be getting back out there soon
You should make a steel plate shield for your camera. It will protect your camera from flyers and you won't have to stress about it as much.
That’s a great idea I will definitely do that
Does it use CZ mags ? Looks like it. 🧐
Yes it does thanks god! It’s getting expensive buying mags for all these different rifles
What has been the best 200 yard group so far???
I have had 1.5” ten shot groups at 200 yards several times but it’s not consistently doing that I would say 3” ten shot groups are pretty average
@@BROTUNEDthanks that gives me a standard to compare with next trip to the outdoor range!!!

I just started with a RPR and like you I’m finding it really interesting and fun, lots to learn 😂
The best part is not super loud and you can shoot all day for $50 to $100 unlike my centerfires $70 for 20 shots

The old pursuit of accuracy trick ha ha

A hunting rifle at 50 & 100 with a cheaper hunting scope would have been a better & more realistic scenario. Just my humble opinion. 👍
It ain’t no good. Send it to me!
lol 😆
Nope! Me!😅
That ammo’s performance is not up to par for what it costs.
For 200 yards it is not bad.
"Mercedes".....LOL!!!
Lol
I tried to have the girl flick my target but I’m not that good with this new editing software yet
