I’ve sat mentally at deaths doorstep for 15 plus years… Hi Death it’s me again, here for another day, seeing if today it’s me you decide gets to go, I’ll wait here at your doorstep as to not trouble you by distance, whenever you are ready, I’ll be here waiting. And upon every night I watch Death return with its fill, passing straight through me each and every time carving bits and pieces out of me but never the whole, so I stumble back home to rest ever slightly less of what I was at the start of the day, shallow pools of sleep till I wake and start my journey back to Deaths doorstep to wait for another day in hopes that maybe, just maybe this time it takes all of me.
