Hey Boone, we use a Carolina rig. 80 pound mono leader, 6/0 circle hook and a 1 or 2 ounce weight. We anchor up, fan out the lines and wait. 30 minutes without a bite and we move until we find the fish. When they quit biting we move again. Cut shad, Herring and chicken work good. Hope this helps. Hey Deedy, ya, I do lots of bank fishing, got a yard full of boats but bank fishing is what I did mostly with my grandpa's. My dad got us a john boat when I was 10. We used to paddle around phosphate pits in Central Florida when we lived in Lakeland. Wasn't unusual to catch 50 or 100 bluegills on a Saturday morning with our friend Mr. Franklin. Those were great times.
