    The more interviews I watch of Waltz for Alita the more I like him, which is weird because I know I wouldn't want to spend even a brief moment being around him.

      Ever heard "your answers are only as good as your questions" e.g Why Questions Are More Important Than Answers. Questioning is the art of learning. Learning to ask important questions is the best evidence of understanding there is, far surpassing the temporary endorphins of a correct “answer.” A bad question is sloppy-it doesn’t burrow anywhere, but bangs around and makes a troubling noise. No wonder Waltz doesn't like questions which don't indicate that the questioner put enough thought into it ;)

    • @Harpoonland
      @Harpoonland 5 лет назад +3

      I always see comments about how Christoph Waltz doesn't answer questions because he thinks they're stupid, or that the interviewer is stupid, but a lot of the time I don't think this is the case. The questions he refuses to answer is from what I've seen, are asking him to give insight on the role he plays etc. He doesn't answer these questions as it goes against his artistic integrity as he believes that the audience should watch a movie and make decisions for themselves based on what they've seen, and not influenced by his insight. I think he just takes cinema as an art form v seriously with strict personal principles but I don't think he thinks all his interviewers are idiots!

    His annunciation, in any of the languages he speaks, is perfect. He is a modern actor able to create in any language and to see him in this Sci-fi, surrounded by technology, was a treat. I can hardly wait to see what's next for him. His abilities as a villain or a hero are equally thrilling.

      He really isn't, though. No actor likes answering stupid questions, and Europeans are far more direct than Americans. Yet he's still polite and still answers the questions he's asked. He just has a lot of respect for his craft, and that doesn't make him egotistical.
