Yeah, I play casual. And i’m a bandwagon? Mate not everyone has to bend over for sim racers. Maybe some people want to play a game that offers nice graphics and fun gameplay over realistic physics. @@tmane.7848 mate, u need to realize it's a business as well. By making F1 a simcade, they could reach more player. I like F1 game bcos pretty fun game, i play the game to have fun and i've been followin F1 since 2000
How are you liking the car? Picked it up yesterday and it's a lot of fun. The graphical fidelity and audio is definitely worse than fh21, but more mid corner grip it feels like.
Yeah it’s definitely a lot of fun, but I definitely agree about the grip. Feels like a proper Mercedes out of the box haha. I feel like I want to say I expected more from it but that’s just a simulated top F1 car for you I guess
I think you summed it up perfectly. I definitely expected something more, but these are 99% of the way there. Iracing online scene is awesome though. Easily worth sticking around for.
@@alextobin872 Agreed, I’m excited to have a proper platform to consistently race an F1 car on competitively (as opposed to searching for leagues on AC/AMS/etc

Every time i see vr content from this car it seems a little bit shifted to the left. Is that because I am only seeing what is coming from the left eye?
Yup! exactly. I can run a direct OpenVR capture on OBS to pull directly from my headset that comes out a bit more centered but I keep the entire display capture that literally captures my entire monitor screen so I can add overlays and stuff like I have here
@@vikinglordmc4986 yeah, my AC VR capture is even a bit more centered, not sure of the difference with iRacing ruclips.net/video/gCvwlwAUPMw/видео.html
I have an Intel i9-9900k CPU/GTX 1080ti GPU with a baseline HTC VIVE (not the Pro model). Pretty solid setup, allows me to turn graphics settings up decently high while still recording/streaming. These iRacing Merc clips may look a bit choppy because I used a direct display capture of my entire single screen display instead of doing a direct openVR capture from my headset (allows me to run single screen overlays with data and stuff for stream like I have on this clip while in VR)
every time i see vr content it reminds me of the time my ex wife attempted to stab me with a fork at thanksgiving. Good times
finally something relatable

Amazing oversteer control on the kerb coming out from Rivage turn!
im sure that if someone makes a filter to this camera, and make it look like the healmet cam of this year, it would be so realistic
What a wonderful feeling to watch this video! Very good!
I hope f1 game will have handling like this
F1 games are for casuals so thats not going to happen.
@@JJ0JPG you’re a casual and a bandwagon for saying that lol. I hope you know that.

The audio is definitely WAY BETTER than F1 2021 what are u talking about. It sounds extremely similar to the real life engine.

hahahah especially compared to my 20 view average otherwise, algorithm definitely grabbed it since i put this out the day the car was released

I kept asking mysef the same question.
its only rendering the left lens of the headset
Great video! Can you do it for more tracks as weII.
will do! i’ve been uploading some laps as i test around different f1 circuits (currently preparing for a league with the W12), but still more to come!
Yo for the algorithm
Why is everyone's VR cam just a little to the left its driving me crazy. Prolly the game but still.
Because it captures only one of the eyes...
when driving in VR it is centered
VR glasses are essentially 2 displays, one for each eye. We only get to see one of them and usually the left.
Thanks for clearing it up, makes sense. Still bugs the shit outta me.

Stupid question but is it easy to look through the Halo with a VR?
yeah, it ends up feeling pretty natural after a few tries. the brain block it out pretty easily
what vr headset do you have
How do you get such a non-yellow look to everything?
Is this on pc?
Wish I had a pc :/

Very uncomfortable to watch this video. View isn't centered and all the time very weird feeling
