- A comparison between the 2 leading Akrapovic exhausts for the Yamaha MT09 and FZ09.

Both exhausts in the video do not have DB killers equipped during the whole video.
My own conclusion: The racing line without DB is a bit more quiet and sounds a bit more Raw. The titanium without DB killer is just to incredible loud, the deep base tone makes you crazy but with a modified DB killer the titanium sounds awesome as well, its a deeper sound.

I feel like under load at the top end there's not much difference, but at lower revs the titanium one sounds a bit more raspy to me, so that one wins in my heart
True, according to sound the barely different from each other, But in looks and HP the Akrapovic Carbon gives more due to the link pipe with the extra round at the end.
I think I'll have to listen to them in person. Videos don't do them justice

Hi mate remap is always beter but if you run them with db killers its not a must. Without highly recomended. I thinks its a matter of taste wich one you like more. I personally like the racing line carbon the most. Sounds a bit more racy. And it weighs les and more hp en nm gain

@@JaxsRacingGarage have you reprogrammed the ecu? My mt09 has full ixil line with no cat but i think im losing power at some 3k 4k rpm and the fuel consumption is higher.

QUESTION: Is that an Ermax bellypan on the bike with the titanium exhaust??? You can still fit it on even with the headers so far out like that??
1 is from puig and 1 from ermax. Both fit . Ermax need a mod though. Check my video about the bellypm

Yes. But not 2021 and up only 1st and 2nd generation

Which is loudest and which is the most droney in your opinion?
I’ve had both exhausts and the Carbon is louder but not droney... the Titanium is quieter with a baffle than Carbon with Baffle. Take the baffle out of either exhaust and they are both loud but the Titanium is droney. The way I would comment is this, get the Titanium if you want to ride it with a baffle and that volume is enough for you. Otherwise get the Carbon with or without baffle. Won’t be as quiet with baffle in but better power gains, I felt a decent difference between the two, just look at the charts on the website

I've got the full titanium systems and had to install a db killer. As awesome as it sounds, it's unbearable after about 20min. Note, the db killer sucks, unless you chop off about 1inch from the back of it. Then it gets a nice, subtle note. There's vids on this.

Unbearable without db killer. I'd say close to 300db at 5000rpm, as a guess. At least 3 times louder than stock.
@@lukecoady5782300db is not 3 times louder than 100db (stock). That would be the equivalent of being 2000x more intense. It does not exist. Loudest noise ever recorded is around 196db

Is it just me or does the MT09 sound worse than the MT07 with the akra exhaust? Is it because its 3 cylinders?
Depends on taste. 3 cilinder vs 2 cilinder.

@@JaxsRacingGarage I prefer the CP3 but CP2 makes better sound :) Either way, Yamaha makes some of the best engines, can't go wrong with either.
