The day that we got to pick up and bring home our Bernese Mountain dog puppy of just 8 weeks old.
His name is Herman and he's the biggest of the litter (4 boys, 3 girls).

What a beautiful puppy. Wonder if that 1st sleep under the chair he was dreaming about mom and siblings. Hope he has a long healthy life.

Berners are the most wonderful dogs! Gentle, social, family oriented and smart. We have two of them.

Our girl whimpered a little on the drive home from the breeder. I am still crying after having to say goodbye to her 8 yrs later. Love the BMD's, they just don't live long enough

Our little Berner boy Leroy was born on the 26th Feb 20. My mum passed away 2 days after you became your little ones forever home. we received confirmation that we were successful in getting Leroy at the same time. We picked up our baby boy the day after we buried mum a week later. We can't help but think she had a hand in it. We drove 13 hr round trip with dad (to get him out of the house) to get him. He's the biggest joy we could have in a very emotional week. He's now 12 weeks old and weighing at 30 pounds! they are such a joy. we love him just as you love yours. enjoy

Intrestingly dogs do not like to be petted on the head . They tolerate it for our sake .Petting on the side yes .When two dogs meet they often offer they sides as a ritual

A harness absolutely, we have a strong 9yr old std. Poodle and always have him on a harness when he goes out.
He is SO fast and strong and loves to run.
He is a certified therapy dog, loves dog parks (at which we remove the harness).
He's very "dog and people" social and a "kisser".

Everyone loves super cute puppy videos. Now let's see the bad side. Not house trained, craps everywhere,pisses on the floor constantly. Crying for the first few nights because the poor thing misses his mom. Stay up late as possible to take him outside hoping he does his business.Then have to get up way too early in the morning for the same reason. Few weeks of this routine,just when you think he's got it, he's pissed on the floor or crapped on the carpet!. Then you'll be yelling"MY F##KIN DOG IS A RETARD!. It's alright,they do get it and it's all well worth it. I've been through this 4 times with my Bernese. Best dogs ever.

He’s so handsome. Though pro tip: leave the collar off as much as you can or he’ll end up with a big dent in his ruff. (I have 3 and the eldest has the dent, learnt my lesson)

Yeah we thought the name was funny and suitable for a dog like him. Herman is also an old dude's name in The Netherlands.
She's petting only the pup she's chosen and not even bothered to pet the other pup playing with Herman is waiting to be petted too. This lady has no heart and not an animal lover. Shelfish attitudes.

Haha, a dog costs a lot of money. If you can't provide for him, don't get a dog. We haven't generated a single penny using Herman and we haven't thought of that for a second.
