During my childhood, my parents use to take me and my siblings to visit our grandparents in the village during school holidays, one gathering I looked forward to during those visits was a folktale telling. Thanks for this.
It's is quite incredible how you put all these together.. Just finished watching with my niece and nephew. They want to see more. So we will be going through all your videos today. Lol.

@@MyNigerianFolktales Yes. The first version was the one I read in "Tales my Grandmother told me" many years ago. I can't remember what ethnic group it comes from. That one had witch doctors and sorcerers to help with the girl's transformation back into human. The second version I saw was a movie with the Idoma version. The girl was called Inale. Then my mom has also told me the Urhobo version. I've forgotten the girl's name here.
I smiled so hard to myself..This folktale was actually my life lived...except I could not banish the person. She has lived her entire life attempting to be me. I never knew she had so much hatred until I had a Yorubian reading over my life. I quietly moved out of her life and stopped all means of communication with her. Who knew she was so full mistrust and trifling mannerisms. Thank you for a awesome folklore.
Oh wow!!!😳 This is amazing! In fact, your comment has just inspired me to tell how I came about this Benin story. And I'll do that soon in one of my videos where I intend to talk about my journey so far. Thanks for watching 😊
Thank you very much for your story iam happy to find this I always love village movies but Nollywood don't show village movies anymore. so iam happy to find this.
It's the exclamation of 'Iye me' for me. Lol. You're so amazing with your stories of different dialect. Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Benin.... Just wow! This story is also similar to a particular story which is among a compilation of different stories in one book tittled 'STORIES MY MOTHER TOLD ME' by Remi Adedeji. I enjoy your stories so, so much. The animations are very very beautiful too. Keep it up! 💙❤️💚💜🧡💛
