Glad to see you put that bundles to use, over 100 bundles of kindling was nice to see, A full cord of wood delivered to the customers property excellent,
Hi Chris, well I thought you preferred bags to cling film for kindling? Of course you know that one of the pitfalls with cling film is that when your wood dries out, it shrinks and subsequently you are left with very ‘loose’ bundles! When you do move to YOUR new farm, I do hope you will use one of the barns for your equipment, and indeed kindling! Don’t you think while you are making kindling bundles, and making a few bucks, you could be making firewood and making $100’s! Time to employ a young student and make it lucrative enough for him/her to want to collect the kindling sticks, bundle them and then distribute them out to sales locations that don’t currently have kindling for sale! Len (Devon 🇬🇧)
Back of the envelope math. Face cord is 42 cu ft. 6$ per bundle, that's 250$ per face cord. Double what it goes for usually. I would be bundling all day :)
Chris...This is a relatively low amperage motor (5.3 per Marathon website) so the power cord is not a real big issue. But if it is over 100 feet from the outlet plug I would strongly encourage 12 gauge wire to minimize voltage drop on start-up. You will thank me a couple of years from now when the motor is still running fine!
I have that same bundler I’ve found when you change the wrap watch how tight you set the nut to hold the roll if you don’t get it tight the bundles won’t be tight if you want them tight just tighten the nut a little more and as with any plastic wrap bundler you need it tight if your doing green wood as when it dries out it shrinks have a good one love the videos
Would be good to incorporate a hopper with a belt feed at waist height , feeding from your left side ,foot switch activated, then it will feed to you and you just place in the bundle mold, not so much picking it up and bending, this would speed up your production and be a lot easier. Then on your right side another conveyor that dumps them in a trailer. Time and motion think production and making it easy. I would be possible to make a machine to do all this .
I like what you told me in person for the bundles. $8 each bundle or 3 for $20. They are big bundles and if people buy 3 they think they are getting a deal for $20.
Nice work with the Brute Force Bundler, Chris. I am jealous, I have a manual bundler. :) We are charging $5 for 1.1 cubic foot bundles which is to low because we have crazy demand. But this is our first year so we are trying to get our customer base established. I think $7 or $8 bundle is reasonable based on what is being sold here locally. Convenience stores are charging up to $10 for .70 cubic feet bundles.
I’ve been thinking of getting a bundler like that. And I’ve also been thinking of bundling kindling as well because there is so much. You might’ve helped convince me haha i think $6-$8 would be fair price because those are huge bundles! Great work chris! -Tyler

Well that's an interesting device and well worth the price. Great idea to give a couple of bundles for a cord to your customers, everyone appreciates a little freebie or two. Speaking of which I think the price of your kindling should be around $5 bucks a bundle for simplicity or five for twenty bucks but your kindling, your call. Great video and glad to see you're non denominational about gear. Everything equipment wise has great points and points that make us go uhhhh really.
Good day Chris, it’s amazing how much money that can be made by turning scrap pieces of wood and turning into kindling bundles it’s a great add on to your firewood sales. I sale cedar kindling $10 ea or 3 for $20. Keep bundling cheers 👌🏻🔥🇨🇦
That's a massive bundle of kindling. Where I am in southern Maine, that's a $12-$20 bundle of kindling easily. I'm in a massive touristy campground / beach town. So $6 is a hell of a deal!
Also, I run an ultra as well so I have a lot of scrap that I sell as kindling as well. One thing I did that was helpful is I toss all the kindling in an ibc tote and put it on a little table. I then cut out the bottom of the ibc cage so I can easily pull kindling right out to bag with my ez bagger. Prevents me from having to bend ova!!
Definitely been looking at brute force line up.I like their semi pro splitter. Seems close to the ultra but with a log lift. Seems like a good quality company. And I like that their fairly local. I'm over in MN.
Brute Force is changing the adjustable wedge on their Semi Pro Splitter, it is going to be similar to the Ultra. I got 1 on order and could be ready at the beginning of the new year. They are planning on making 15 to 20 of them so If you are interested I'd get an order in ASAP.

From what Logger Al has told me, Brute Force makes a well-priced processor that can handle our somewhat crooked hardwood logs. Next spring I'll get a dump trailer! 2yrs maybe get a processor!
I watched a recent channel on making bundles w wrap and thy started having a mold issue. Airflow in which you store bundles could be a consideration plus storage time duration as well
Yup, and bundling the wood before it is dry is the main problem. But the real question is why where you watching another channel???? This is the only one you should watch! HAAAA!
Sweet deal. If. You are not including a sheet of paper with your contact information on those bundles, You are missing a great opportunity for additional business. Business cards are very good . But a label is bigger and close to being better Best wishes for continued success.
3 for $20. $20=$5 these days! Looks like an arm breaker if you don't pay attention. Lol Nice rig. 300 bundles should about pay for it. Had a $1200 delivery day yesterday. Most days have been $600-$800. Got to KEEP PUSHING!!!
1 bundle for $8 or 2 bundles for $20 I have enough faith in the new common core math, that I truly believe you will sell more of the $20 deals!🤠 I have never bundled any wood and have no advice. Would cutting the plastic closer to the wood then the roll give you more tail for grabbing in the process? Just an observation and thanks for continuing to bring us all brands/manufacturers of firewood related item!🔥🔥
Busy day on deliveries today. Four truckloads to one customer. He was so impressed with the quality of my wood that he'll buy more wood from me without hesitation! It sure pays to make quality firewood!
Hi Chris was wondering if you had any leads on people who would like trees removed from their property. Similar to the one making land into prairie again. I'm located in central waushara county n trying to grow. Last year I sold 60 full cord n hopefully gonna really produce this year. Thank you for your time.
Didn't realize that bass had hyper propulsion capabilities. Neat! - I think that as a good citizen, fighting inflation with all you got, maybe $5 for the big bundle, and make 'em all big!! You'll never run out, it's freebies. Just a little labor. Your reputation will grow like.... somebody famous, ....famous Amos? Sorry, the only really famous guy I know is Tony, da' Man! And Kenny, of course! Superman is pretty famous, but I don't really know him. - Be aware, there's woodchuckers out there been accused of impersonating Superman. Be alert! Don't let them purloin your blue tights! - Btb. I'll bet Andrew would love someone to do a comparison video! If he did it himself, he'd be perceived as a big bully! He might lose his Canadian nice guy rating. But you could do it. Nobody'd see you as a bully! No suspense about who'd shine in a comparison!
hey buddy I have been doing bundles for over 20 years a better way to wrap your bundles put some of your wood in the bundler then place the plastic wrap on first layer of wood ,then place the rest of your wood in your bundler then wrap it will speed up your bundle time and be more productive for you. this will work on All bundle machine,s.
I think a higher selling price on your bundles will have an affect on the perceived value when you give them to your cordwood customers as a bonus. Ultimately your sales will direct the pricing.
you said some really great things in this video about equipment this why I would love to bring my processor to your woodyard and do a comparison not every processor will fit everyone's woodyard and do a video to help people make the best pick for there wood market area. I believe the 22MB would be the better processor for me as 95% of my wood is for heat and I run 25 foot logs but I think my dyna would fit you better as you do most wood for fireplace or ambience and campfires and re-splitting is much easier on my dyna for the size you are looking for. It would not be a video to make 1 or the other look bad just help people make a decision on what they need for the wood they need to sell. P S the 22MB was not available 12 years ago or thats what I would have now
Nice work, I’ll have to look in to that company, I use Forester Pickaroon, forestking wood splitter, I have one stihl chainsaw, 1 echo chainsaw saw, so I’ll use what ever equipment that works for me. Don’t really care from where or who. Also how is that new place coming along?
Nice video/machine/kindling bundles. Any thoughts about making "firewood bundles"? I know you are much too busy with deliveries and moving log piles right now, but that Brute Force bundler has lots of potential. Yesterdays noodle video inspired me too do a little of that too. GNI
I know there’s someone who has a firewood stand at the speedway gas station at bottom of the hill here in southwestern pa, the person sells their firewood bundles for $8 each. Idk what the market is like in Wisconsin, but I’d say $8-$10 a bundle. That’s just my opinion though
@@InTheWoodyard to add in if I may? Think about how much your charging per face cord of each species of wood, then break that face cord down by cubic feet. I’m 110% sure you already know how to do the math on it, considering your my elder Chris.
On the pricing If you think the kindling is a by product it is only costing you your time. If you were to make kindling as a special product you would need to charge more. Introductory offer $5 for the first order of the season or new customers (perhaps up to a certain date)? If you sell lots you may think you can charge more.
Hey Chris if that red plate is 12”x12” you’re doing a bit more than a cf per bundle, but who’s counting really… that bundle would prob run us $5-10 in eastern upstate NY at a convenience store. That is a good idea!
My wife would use all that to light 1 fire 😂, looking good 👍
Ha! That is good! Fire is good, more fire is more gooder!
People do want kindling. Having it conveniently packaged and sold with the wood is a plus. $8-10 for a good sized bundle.
Yup, thanks!
You need In The Wood Yard labels now ! Sweet ........
Yup I will eventually!
Cool!
Yes it is thanks!!
I'd love to know how many bundles you can put together in a day with one of these
In a full day 12-16 hours I would guess you could do 50-60 an hour no problem so between 700 and 900 maybe more???
I'm nondenominational too, I just want things to work that I can afford 😁...I'm stealing that🤣
Yup, it is a good one! Thanks for watching!
Nice bundler. One of the best I’ve seen. I say to sell the kindling for $7 a piece or 3 for $20. See ya tomorrow 👍🏻👍🏻GNI
Thanks Todd!!
From what Logger Al has told me, Brute Force makes a well-priced processor that can handle our somewhat crooked hardwood logs. Next spring I'll get a dump trailer! 2yrs maybe get a processor!
Yup, they make good stuff!
HAAAA!
Your branching out , guess that a good thing !
YuP!
Sweet deal.
If. You are not including a sheet of paper with your contact information on those bundles,
You are missing a great opportunity for additional business.
Business cards are very good .
But
a label is bigger and close to being better
Best wishes for continued success.
Good point!
Great kindler ,u asked us about price i would charge 7 ,if they buy more than 4 they get a discount xx
Thanks Theresa!
🤘sweet!
Yup!
3 for $20.
$20=$5 these days!
Looks like an arm breaker if you don't pay attention. Lol
Nice rig. 300 bundles should about pay for it.
Had a $1200 delivery day yesterday. Most days have been $600-$800. Got to
KEEP PUSHING!!!
Yup, I agree! Keep cutin'!
Start your wrap when your tray is half loaded so the wood holds it down for you. Won’t get your hands stuck either
Thanks for the tip!
Chris, every time I watch "in the woodyard" I am buying something...I just sent you an email. Cowboy Joy
Yup, got it!
1 bundle for $8
or 2 bundles for $20
I have enough faith in the new common core math, that I truly believe you will sell more of the $20 deals!🤠
I have never bundled any wood and have no advice. Would cutting the plastic closer to the wood then the roll give you more tail for grabbing in the process? Just an observation and thanks for continuing to bring us all brands/manufacturers of firewood related item!🔥🔥
Your pricing would reduce sales to only one bundle. $8 vs $10 per bundle.
I am sure it was a joke.
Ha! That is funny right there! Good one!
@@InTheWoodyard 🤣🤣
Busy day on deliveries today. Four truckloads to one customer. He was so impressed with the quality of my wood that he'll buy more wood from me without hesitation! It sure pays to make quality firewood!
Sounds great, keep cuttin'!
Good job enjoy the video
Thanks !!!
Hi Chris was wondering if you had any leads on people who would like trees removed from their property. Similar to the one making land into prairie again. I'm located in central waushara county n trying to grow. Last year I sold 60 full cord n hopefully gonna really produce this year. Thank you for your time.
No leads that I know of, just start asking people!
I sell firewood bundles for $5 and cedar kindling bundles for $10, it sells itself. Like you said, people don't sell kindling.
Nice, I like it!
Thanks as always for the fun words of the day, you always have something good to say in a unique way! Thanks!!
hey buddy I have been doing bundles for over 20 years a better way to wrap your bundles put some of your wood in the bundler then place the plastic wrap on first layer of wood ,then place the rest of your wood in your bundler then wrap it will speed up your bundle time and be more productive for you. this will work on All bundle machine,s.
Yup, others have told me that too! Thanks for the tips!!
Great addition to the wood yard. I’d would pay between 6 to 8 bucks a bundle. Are you going to advertise that you have bundles for sale?
Yes and yes!
I think a higher selling price on your bundles will have an affect on the perceived value when you give them to your cordwood customers as a bonus. Ultimately your sales will direct the pricing.
Yes, I agree, good points!
you said some really great things in this video about equipment this why I would love to bring my processor to your woodyard and do a comparison not every processor will fit everyone's woodyard and do a video to help people make the best pick for there wood market area. P S the 22MB was not available 12 years ago or thats what I would have now
Yup, it is a great machine!
Very nice machine, 8.00 2 for 15.00 , 3 for 20.00 or 5 for 30.00. Good luck
I like it Mike!!! Best one yet!!!!!!!
7 dollars or 3 for 20.
Perhaps you should consider “it looks like a kindling day”.
Build a shed or use an outbuilding and put your bundler inside it.
Yup, good ideas!
Hopefully the bundles don’t become loose after time… I think $5 each 🤷♂️
I am thinking $8 each and 3 for $20
When I do kindling I do 1 cubic food I sell it for 5 buck each I sell 40 to 50 a week up here in maine
Nice!!!!!
Love the bundler Chris
Me toooooo!
They make good stuff! The move is going well, you will see!
I would start higher and let the market forces decide. I have a lot of competition out here and can't get off of $5.
Yup, that is the plan, thanks Harry!
$8 per bundle. 3 - $20. Same pricing for actual bundles. If a reseller wants them sell them for $5 no multi discount.
Yup, I agree!
Nice video/machine/kindling bundles. Any thoughts about making "firewood bundles"? I know you are much too busy with deliveries and moving log piles right now, but that Brute Force bundler has lots of potential. Yesterdays noodle video inspired me too do a little of that too. GNI
Yup, it is all possible !!
I know there’s someone who has a firewood stand at the speedway gas station at bottom of the hill here in southwestern pa, the person sells their firewood bundles for $8 each. Idk what the market is like in Wisconsin, but I’d say $8-$10 a bundle. That’s just my opinion though
Yup, I am thinking $8 each and 3 for $20
@@InTheWoodyard to add in if I may? Think about how much your charging per face cord of each species of wood, then break that face cord down by cubic feet. I’m 110% sure you already know how to do the math on it, considering your my elder Chris.
Kindling should be more than Campfire wood.... $8 each, 3 for $20 is what I would say.
Yup, exactly what I was thinking too!
You could go with $7-$8 a bundle or 3- for $20
Yup, that is what I am thinking!
On the pricing If you think the kindling is a by product it is only costing you your time.
If you were to make kindling as a special product you would need to charge more.
Introductory offer $5 for the first order of the season or new customers (perhaps up to a certain date)?
If you sell lots you may think you can charge more.
I am thinking $8 and 3 for $20
I definitely want to try out that rapper 🤔
That sounds good!
Bad analogy of drug dealer - drugs ain’t no joke…period. Great rest of video
Good point but it was just a joke.
Hey Chris if that red plate is 12”x12” you’re doing a bit more than a cf per bundle, but who’s counting really… that bundle would prob run us $5-10 in eastern upstate NY at a convenience store. Maybe you get $3-5 per delivering 50? Maybe go on the higher end if you delivered a few of them to homeowners? Sound like $6 works!
We will see, thanks!
