Everybody saw it, got genuinely concerned, and held a ‘funeral’ for him. When the quiet kid came back, we asked him about it. He said he didn’t know anything about it. At the time, everyone played soccer on the field during recess. The soccer kids bribed him, and he is the best kid in the grade at soccer today. Yes, the quiet kid.

When I was in high school I was in golf class as my PE credit. On Fridays we’d all play tag football for fun. No one ever passed the ball to the quiet kid because well he was quiet, then the coach started playing as QB and threw it to the quiet kid and he caught the ball damn near every time. Got to the point there would be 2 or 3 people guarding him because he’d always catch it otherwise lol.
I was the quiet kid back then and had experiences like that far too many times. Since I didn’t talk that much I would dedicate all my time in perfecting my game and would be pretty decent at a lot of the sports we played during PE. Unfortunately, I would always be the last pick for any team captain because I was quiet, and it made me feel worthless. This caused me to go above and beyond to prove myself

I was throwing a football around with my dad when I was ten, and I went on a streak and did the OBJ catch with no gloves and I wasn’t even intending to recreate it. Also, my dad said my back was completely parallel to the ground when I caught it.
