Using the lift on my bus to get the front end of the hand cycle up high enough to reach I replaced the Micro Shift 7 speed shifter with the Shimano Revo 7 speed shifter.
Going from 28-teeth, smallest triple down to 22-teeth smallest triple on my bottom bracket on my handcycle. Bought triple bracket with crank arms for only $10 on Ebay from a non-profit organization helping kids to get bicycling. TOO hard to arm peddle at 28-teeth! Not installed yet.

That's an excellent idea. Smaller cranks on the bottom bracket aren't as fast but they sure are easier to pedal.
