it would be really cool if you could put in a little piece of cardboard with a image on it in front of the camera (or a amiibo like piece wich would go on top of the right joystick) on the red joy con to switch between different games like one with the earth for astronomy or one with a lion for a animal search game where you have to find different animals and it could be used as a way to teach kids about animals or even one with a magnifying glass on it were you have to find clues and solve a mystery or something like that i think that the idea of a telescope is a reall cool one with lots of different implementations

It took me a week, but I have to "rusher" the work, I lack experience on some things, for example I wanted to do more for the "in game" part (with the solar system) example, switch on a "realistic" visual to a visual more "Nintendo/mario" by pressing button, and also I wonder if it was not better to leave the screen visible (rather than putting lenses like a real telescope) for have access to the touch screen for gameplay.
ps: sorry for my english, i'm using a translator: /

It's looking really great.
IMO if you could control focal point / zoom by rotatings the lense, or with a carboard slider, it would feel even more like a real device.
Keeping one controller for other controls would work depending on the features inside the game.
But I love the idea, it's really creative !

i am 100% all about this.
with both joycons providing positional data you can get some super accurate movement of the "telescope"
only problem is, how do you define compass direction? would the instructions say to face the thing due north at first?

yes it is only a "Fanmade", I think it's possible to reproduce the sky map in a "software" and simulated with the gyroscope of the switchi or joy-cons the movements, after to something chosen of the type "google space", without internet connection activated... I do not know how to comment it could be possible, here the idea is just to imitate a telescope with interactive/educational software on the solar system ;)
I think it is better that the screen is visible and not inside the carboard, moreover it could be used for mini games like "shoot" :)
