I just built this and I defended 2 raids in the span of 4 hours me and my duo partner took out 7 of them. This base has perfect peaks and is cheap to build. I also wanted to build a smaller base so we could get online and we did this base is literally perfect. Thank you!
We are usually a medium sized time but there is 3 of us playing and this design is so simple but yet so effective, love the builds keep up the good work
Quite impressive. A compact 2x2 with wide gaps, the potential for 2 external TCs, and can easily be morphed into a compound by dropping in some external walls. I have a feeling you could easily squeeze a roof bunker or two into this base if you wanted. It's a fairly balanced online/offline combination, but would still be a cheap offline raid if people just followed the door path. I think the strongest way to harden against that would be to remove the front entrances and use mobility shutes up to the shooting floor instead.
The door path raid cost is higher than the wall raid cost. Remember, this is supposed to be a simple base for the casual player. I got plenty of other bunker bases. Moving the entrances would hurt progression also.
@@CrowRust Simple is always better though. I've built giant ass compounds that took many boxes of metal, had like 50k+ metal upkeep, and over 30 turrets. It'd take hours and hours just to finish... this KISS design can be done in 30 minutes or less if you have all the materials. Other than not having an inner peak it's basically just a mini clan base.
Built this and I’m here to thank you. Incredibly cheap while still being effective. Widegaps that do not require externals is perfect for me! Now that I know how to build it I can likely expand it higher next wipe and add a roam room with turrets. I may put the TC somewhere in the upper part of the base once I’m built up well. Thanks Crow!

I’ve been using this 2x2 design every time I snowball and get a lot of loot for wipes already. Love to see someone make a tutorial on it for others to use
if you go with external TC's, make sure to place electrical components to block grubs from building the frames that connect the widegap to the main base, otherwise the external TC's will pop.
@@TheSebas464 Say you build a stone foundation with a tc on it, then build 10 squares foundations out, destroy the one twig square foundation closest to the stone foundation to interrupt build privileged, and build a TC out at the far end (this is the most basic example of a multi-TC base). If you rebuild the destroyed square, it will connect both TC's to a single building, which is against the rules, so the second tc built will pop.
BRO this is such a nice easy base for when i dont wanna spend loads of time building, plus he made it dead easy to follow, deffo my go to base builder now
Nice, simple enough base! Just tried it on a build server. You can make it even stronger adding a GOD bunker! takes a little bit more time checking the stability, but it's really worth it! Good Job! :)
the way i modified it is i build it one floor higher making the wide gaps more viable this extra floor can be turned into an open core the roof i turn into peeks half wall with windows and roof ramps going up to them like a compound peek teh second way i use it is i put roof tiles facing inward to prevent clans easilly landing on my roof

I've been onlined in this base 3 times already. Holds up great except for that fact there's only one chute from the core to the upper levels. If the raiders boom from the proper side then there's no mobility to core (this happened to me). Instead of walling off the secondary chute from core, you can mirror the main chute on the other side and use the Serenity bunker in core to increase raid cost.

i really like this design, but is there a way to build it so for the other entrance you get get to core just as quick? only one of them has a garage door that leads straight to second floor

Love the base and vid man! One question. Im getting decay issues with the wall frames and outer walls. Know what may be causing? I have everything connected.
I tried it already but it's only 21 rockets to TC. Not bad considering it's half the build cost and upkeep but I'm not too happy with how the build progresses.
when watching this all this reminds me of is 'The Perfect 2x2 Expansion' by spinky which is a better design, i would say both is good if you wanna slap down an easy base and just go pvp and dont wanna worry about farming all day
I wouldn't say its a better design in the same way you cant say a 2x2 is better than a 2x1 because its bigger. Spinky's will take longer to build and is larger. As the dedicated builder for my quad, I find externals and gatehouses to be quite laborious

You can add a God bunker where the jump up is out of core but youd have to sacrifice a garage door, a worth trade off in my opinion.

Im trying it this wipe and its easily one of the best bases for solo/duo. Almost finished it on first day. Also added an hq bunker for extra safety.
Any bunker will make it a cheaper raid

A big thing with that connection of the externals, if u have externals and it gets griefed, u can connect it to your main and the enemy tc will break

Serenity bunker dramatically weakens a wall raid. If you're planning to get onlines you should build compound bedrooms.
Yeah we had compound bedrooms but maneuvering around the base with your only chute compromised was my issue

I play on a 4 day 2x, so just chucking this down first day and pvping last 3 is tons more fun.
Definitely using this on force wipe, considering the building changes.

So i built it with the only chamge being using triange roofs instead of just square roofs adds a bit more cover

That's about twice as expensive, not as easy to build, and far from perfect but ok...
