Hi Liora! I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your personal experience with us and I'm glad you came back to RUclips. I am a 47 year old mother of 3 daughters & can relate to your experience. It takes a lot to come out & share your personal struggles first & foremost. Never be ashamed or feel badly about it. Give yourself grace as your body just went through a lot of MAJOR changes. My 1st two pregnancies were a walk in the park & by the time I had my 3rd daughter I was 37 & my experience was totally different. I was sick as a dog so to speak from the very beginning up until I gave birth. I cried every single day and always felt so sick to my stomach and I just couldn't handle being pregnant. What should have been a joyous time for me was not. It was a real challenge. All this to say that you are not alone & don't feel badly. Give yourself grace and do what you love in this life and all will turn out ok. You have a good head on your shoulders, you have a kindness about you & a beautiful life ahead of you. God Bless you & your family always. ❤❤❤❤

You practice what you preach, the wig off doesn’t make you a less devout Jew! Don’t be hard on yourself! You’re doing great and we are here to support ❤🎉

I hear you on the wig thing. One of my good friends is Orthodox and she tolerated it for years, spent thousands trying to find the "right" one, but she finally had enough and stopped wearing it. She still gets comments but at the end of the day, she's no less devout because she chooses not to wear a wig.

Raising my hand as someone who has watched you for years! I remember when you used to come back and film from your apartment after waitressing and how lonely you were during the pandemic. I definitely knew something was up when you were away but you are young and I figured you were just experiencing life. I have three now grown kids but I still remember how hard that adjustment to the first one was. It was probably the hardest adjustment of my life, but being a mother and raising my children to be good people is my proudest achievement. It’s a process and you need to remember to show yourself grace. I’m so proud of you!

Thanks for your heart felt story!! I personally had severe postpartum depression with my son and it definitely wasn't easy! Motherhood is a tough job. Don't worry, it definitely gets easier as the baby gets older 😊!! Glad you made it through. I am looking forward to more updates from you in the future! I left Queens, New York in December 2016 and miss the food and shopping 🛍 😂😂!! When I hear your " New Yawk" accent I get real homesick 😢. I still have my accent even though I currently live in Tennessee. I also love Florida ❤️ like your husband. I am also Jewish ✡️ so I completely understand what you are saying, although not religious. Have a great evening Liora!!❤❤❤

Back again, just finished watching and I have such a lump in my throat. My son is 29 and that love grows stronger and life is never the same. I felt you when you said you were in a bit of a fog after giving birth. I didn’t want to admit how traumatized I was from this new life. Pride. But I respect you so much you are going to help so many women by speaking your truth. I respect you as a mother you are beautiful and your son and husband are so lucky to have you in their life.

Being a mom is the best thing in the world and changes us for the best and we learn something new daily from our littles I’m sure you are doing amazing ❤

Liora a person’s size doesn’t define their heart. Unfortunately our society has made a big influence on size. What matters most is that #1 You Love Yourself no matter what size you are. #2 That your significant other accepts you for the person inside and not outside! God didn’t make everyone Skinny and Perfect for a reason! Acceptance starts within! I’m not from NY but ChiTown! I have always been very outspoken and brutally honest. I tell people when I met them, “You are either going to LOVE ME OR HATE ME! There is no in between!” I use to allow everyone in my life walk all over me and use me only for acceptance! (Family as well) Until I realized I was always there for everyone when they needed me but when I might’ve just needed a shoulder to cry on, no one was there for me! I learned that sometimes God places people in our path for just a season! We think they were put into our lives forever. Just like a rocket that takes off. It has boosters that when you get to a certain altitude they fall off because they cannot handle the altitude that you are rising too! When we spend so much of our daily time worrying about how we look, as far as body size, we miss the most important times right in front of us! Be happy! Love yourself! Accept yourself! That aura reflection passes onto the ones we love! I’m old enough to be your Momma! Heck I’m 53 with 3 beautiful babies. I have a son that will be 35 next month, a daughter that is 27 and my miracle baby boy that is 12! Take it from someone who has missed out on so much in life because I was drowning myself in fear of being accepted! I’ve come to terms with the fact that God has made a different for a reason! I’ve never met a stranger and I speak to just about everyone I see! That little bit of acknowledgment could literally make the difference of life and death in someone’s life. BTW, yes I’m still obsessed with Sol de Janerio thanks to you!! Sending you butterfly 🦋 kisses 😘 and prayers!

Thank you,Liora. I have been with you for years and have valued you for just being real. I am sorry that you felt that you lost that for a time, but I am glad to see you finding your way back to your happiness. As a subscriber,I personally never felt like let down or disappointed that you weren't posting, just concerned about you.
As a mother,I empathize completely. So many people underestimate how hard pregnancy can be on a woman's body. My pregnancy was fairly smooth, but 5 days after I gave birth,I was re-admitted to the hospital with multiple bilateral PE (blood clots in both lungs). I missed the first 3 weeks of my son's life fighting for mine. Pregnancy is no joke.
I was thrilled to see you back and you absolutely were missed in your absence. Blessings to you and your beautiful family.

I just had my 4th baby. I dont know how my first 3 were so smooth but this delivery and recovery kicked my butt & it seems like theres always something (breastfeeding pain, jaundice in my baby, cramping that scares me its so intense) so I cant imagine the stuff that goes with birth/recovery PLUS a rough 9mo leading up to it. My heart goes out to you I could hear the pain and raw vulnerability in your voice ♡ Like you said going through hard times makes little things seem like a miracle and we are able to appreciate them in new light atleast :)
Definitely keep working on getting back to your norm but also when you are with your son pour it all into him and help mold the best human you can- the world needs it!! I suggest your local libraries for ways to get out there into the world while also doing something enriching for your son, ours has baby programs that im excited to take mine too when hes a bit older! Also, it goes by soooo fast so if hes going to be going to preschool at some point just know your BLINK and that moment will be here so its OK to surrender yourself to the moment ♡

Liora, Please give yourself grace. Pregnancy is not easy, since literally your growing a human and that's truly a miracle from God. The hormones women experience are truly unsettling. I'm now a mother myself and had my daughter July 2023 and pregnancy kicked my ass as well. The emotions I went through and how I saw myself wasn't great and I really struggled after having my daughter and post partum has also been terrible, depression has really messed with me. Simply I just have not felt like myself and honestly I still have days when I look in the mirror and don't know who the person is looking back at myself. Thankfully I'm having more good days now and my daughter is amazing and too stinking cute if it wasn't for her I may have done something stupid to myself! I thank God for the beautiful gift he gave me that is my daughter and my life will never be the same. ❤❤❤ Thank you for speaking on your experience makes me feel not so alone in my own personal journey. I actually just bought makeup for the first time since having my baby and that's thanks to you, I did the spend $100 at Sephora and am surprised how much I was able to get!! Excited for uploads from you and thanks for being so authentically you.

Glad you’re back and feeling better! On a side note, as someone who grew up in CT and has resided now in FL for over 2 decades - don’t move your family here. It’s not the wonderful place people fantasize it is. I know the warm weather is attractive but it literally feels like we live in HELL 4-5 mos of the year. You trade snow and cold for horrifically destructive hurricanes and some times tornadoes. The roads are crazy - and there’s very little public transportation. Even though NY is expensive - FL is catching up quickly. Low salaries and ridiculous housing and insurance costs. $2000-$2300 a month for rent on a 1-bedroom apartment - not in the best part of town or super close to the beach isn’t really affordable. Our salaries here do not keep up with the cost of living. Plus - I’m just gonna say it - in the last decade, FL has attracted a lot of intolerant people. It’s not the “free state” politicians like to claim it is. It’s free if you have the same beliefs, values, political affiliation, and skin color they do - otherwise it’s kinda become a scary place. You get stuck sometimes where you are living but my dream is to move back up north some day, as soon as I can.

We had so much fun there. I understand what you mean about the hustle and bustle and how it would be hard for you to leave. I have two boys. Both pregnancies were challenging in their own way. I had post partum depression with the second and it was a struggle but God got me through it. I’m so glad you have a supportive family and I understand you taking time off from RUclips to take care of you, your baby and family. That’s so important. Your baby boy will grow so fast. Had to go in multiple times for fluids with each pregnancy. I definitely said I was never having another EACH TIME and here we are with 4 haha. They are my blessings and I wouldn’t trade them for anything. I don’t even remember the misery as much these days, watching them grow it all was worth it.

Hi Liora! This is my first time commenting on a video of yours but I’ve been following for awhile now. I’m so happy that you’ve been back to posting more lately. I’m currently 16 weeks pregnant with my first and I also was diagnosed with Hyperemesis gravidarum. Everything single thing you said from not being able to move and function to having new found gratefulness for life and health is SO true. I am hoping to be out of this stage of my pregnancy soon bc it has been rough but wow women are so strong for going through these things ❤️

I've been a fan for years and it kills me that you had to go thru stuff and felt like you couldn't come to us for support! I wish people would understand that humans are capable of having more than one emotion at a time, ya know? Like you said, you were grateful to be having your son but feeling really annoyed at being so sick and then feeling guilty about feeling bad!.. it's fine to have all the feelings! You can feel different things at once! An example that i go thru is the fact that I have a hard time aging. If I complain/comment about aging people say 'well, it's better than the alternative' and it's like 'yea, I'm grateful I'm not dead but I can still be pissed off about wrinkles, gray hair, and a bad back!' On a side note ... your declutter videos have moved me to do that same. Love ya girl!! Glad we are seeing more of you.

First off, you don’t owe answers to anyone…. But the fact that you did, and that you you just laid it all out, shows how genuine you are. I had HG in my first pregnancy. It’s debilitating. And no one can prepare you for your first pregnancy. I had an emergency C-section with my first pregnancy, and then depression for 2 years until I got pregnant again. And I had complications with my 2nd. Another Csection, and then I decided I couldn’t do it again. You ever need anyone to talk to, or just want someone to listen, I am always here ❤. And your wig and toques (beanies) always look so cute on you ❤

I’m so glad you came back and feeling better. You had went from all the blessings you prayed for then disappeared. I get it! I’m just happy you’re on your way to a healthier happy year. I had my son at 38 after trying 8 years! I’m now 54 and can still remember the birth hardships. Of course it was worth it to have him , but yes very difficult that entire first year just letting my body and mind heal. I’m sure your baby is adorable 🥰 . So happy you are all well and taking one day at a time . I personally feel religious “ ceremonial” gestures are not the way to a personal relationship with God.Some things we did in Jesus days are not what he calls us to do these days. Of course we need to be respectful but that doesn’t mean distracting our own relationship with God and our own paths.

This was a nice update Liora. I just missed seeing you on the tube. With that said, I understand that you had a lot major life changes happen very close together. You got engaged, then married, expecting and a new parent all within 18 months - 2 years. That’s quite a lot of life change. I’m going to look into those prayers. Thanks for mentioning. God does listen. 🤍🤍

I'm so sorry you feel so bad and have guilt about not sharing with us but you are an amazing person, and this was your first experience being pregnant and being a mom, and there will be plenty more "mistakes" to come but just know you will do the best you can and that's all we can do. We don't always make the right decisions as moms but its what's best at the time and you will always do what's best for you and your baby! Life is just a big learning lesson and it will get better with time.

The first year is hard. I was alone with my baby most of the time. They grow so fast. You are doing a great job. Thanks for the update. I was born in Manhattan and grew up in Bklyn. I live in Manhattan now. I moved to conn for twenty years but I’m so happy to be back. My kids are grown. It all works out. Keep doing what makes you happy. You are important ❤
