I’m not a native, but I discovered this place a few years ago when we were on a young men’s camp ⛺️ to hike Sneffels and surrounding areas. Absolutely one of my favorite parts of Colorado.

Its funny you ask because that was the plan on this day until the winds were forecasted to be so high. Our gamble paid off since most of this one was protected by the surrounding mountains. Need to get back down there soon to hike that though.
I really need to make a point of getting into the San Juans more. Looks epic. Do you happen to know the name of that ridgeline up there? Looks like a fun one.
100% - Above the lakes, I am not sure if there is one that goes. Dallas Peak is up there somewhere but I don't believe you traverse that ridge to summit (typically).
Hello, do you have any suggestions for places to go where there aren't a lot of people? I'm got selected for my first hunt in the area and was considering hunting near this, but it seems to be a very popular hike and area. I'd like to not endanger anyone. Thank you! Beautiful video.
Hey Troy, I am not a hunter so can't provide a ton of help with your question but can verify this area is extremely popular. There is now a permit system to hike this one unfortunately .

Beautiful as always. Great job!
Thank you for the treat! I'm a Colorado native and I never knew about the Blue Lakes area. Another great reason to visit the San Juans. 🙂
BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for sharing. Love the family shots 😍
I did this a few days after Bierdstat over the summer. It’s like you are recreating my Summer itinerary!
Thanks for showing us the trail. I’m never disappointed by the San Juans.✌️
My favorite place in the state, every time I have to leave I always get a little sad, so much beauty down there.
(I love the hike videos you do without drones). Thanks for the videos!
That’s it, now I am taking my girlfriend and my dog to blue Lakes Trail. Thank you!!!
Hi Jackie!!!
Do it soon as reservations are going to be implemented next year most likely.
Amazing channel. Keep up the good work, I am not a seasoned hiker but planning to do some winter CO hikes this time.
Thanks!
No problem and appreciate the donation!
That is a nice hike. I backpack so that is an I’d like to look into

another great video!! The whole time I was hoping you would point out which peak was Sneffels. Cant wait to make it to the San Juans eventually.
Good call, def should have. 2:13, 2:25 show it - but not really possible to see the true summit from the upper lakes.
Looks like a gorgeous hike! What was one of your favorite parts of this hike?
Lower lake because of the color and then the backdrop of the hike up to the upper lakes
You posted this just in time, it looks like the blue lakes may get a permit/reservation system next year.
Was just reading through that 150+ page document. Looks like you are right, seems to be the way of the world these days.
I’ve done this 3x and it’s always nice but especially beautiful when there’s more snow. Do you have a Columbine Lake video? That’s my fave.
