I honestly believe that if Rory had just said “Logan, don’t marry Odette. I want to be with you”, he would’ve left his fiancé in a heartbeat. Also there is no way in hell he’s not gonna leave his fiancé when he finds out Rory is pregnant. He’s just waiting for Rory to give him a reason not to go through with the engagement.
Ehh I think the implication is strongly that the pregnancy is the factor that will make him leave. Logan was not forced in anyway to marry Odette. Quite the opposite. Logan is portrayed as having ultimate privilege. He is no only rich but also attractive, charming, and a natural leader. He uses this position to have multiple women. Rory fairly clear that she would take Logan is a heart beat(she obviously keeps sleeping with him) and she make it clear that she does not want him with Odette. So no Logan would not leave Odette for her just because she asks. Logan is not shown to be heartless though. He has enough empathy that I think he would go because of the child. And even if not Rory could use the child to cause Odette to break up with Logan and shame him into marring her even if he did not want to.

The choice in contrasted with what Lorelai had to go though when losing the unconditional support of her family. He is educated, smart, charming, and has plenty of connections outside his family. Choosing Rory is not going to leave him cleaning hotel rooms. Part of the story is how wealth can influence relationship choices but if his love for Rory is not enough to overcome that they shouln't be getting married anyway. Rory does say no to her proposal(even though its in the non creator last season) but even if you accept that season its 9 years later and Rory has pretty clearly shown her disappointment in what Logan is doing strongly suggesting she wants an exclusive relationship.
We know all too well that if Rory asked him to not marry Odette, he would definitely drop everything for her and marry her in an instant, maybe even have Finn or Collin officiate the wedding. See that’s what I would like this particular episode to be then Collin and Robert and Finn...Logan tells her she is the one he wants to be with, and they all are there why they get married what better wedding except for Lorelai wouldn’t be there... She gets pregnant you know it’s not from the Wookie so you know she’s pregnant by Logan. I think that’s why she went to talk to Christopher. I need them to get it together. Logan and Rory make the most sense of almost any of Rory's relationships. I know a lot of people think Logan is Rory's Christopher, but I think he might actually be her Richard. Right down to the fact that he's engaged to someone else at the moment. You think he won't drop everything for her once he finds out she's pregnant (with his child. Is that even a question?). They should have just gotten married when he asked her the first time. What? Like being married young would have made her career prospects worse than they currently are?

She said no to him because she was scared that if she married him she wouldn't have the career she always dreamed of. Which she didn't get anyway. And in the revival all she had to do was tell Logan how she felt and he wouldn't have been with oddette.

The only bad thing about watching GG is that what I want never happens, there's never a happy ending and that makes it just as crappy as real life. I'm sad
I mean yes real life is messy but come on these are two people who love each other why can’t they just get together, there aren’t real issues complicating stuff. Logan’s character in the show was honest and loyal so he wouldn’t cheat this way, so it feels like the person who wrote this revival didn’t agree with the last two seasons of Gilmore girls.
I have never thought that Logan is anything like Christopher. Christopher and Lorelai got together when she was what’s 16. Logan came into Rorys life and she was in college at Yale. if he’s close to anybody in Rorys life it would be Richard.
I know many have compared Rory and Logan's story to that of Richard and Emily's story. Yet I feel Logan is also kinda like Luke to Lorelai as well, since when Lorelai would get upset; even after they broke up; she would call Luke and he would come running to the rescue. He never stopped loving her either, nor she him. And Luke was also into surprising Lorelai just to see her happy, same as Logan would do for Rory.

Don't miss the point though. This scene is supposed to be tragic. A huge part of the idea behind Logan is that this is easy for him. So many less clever TV shows have the wealthy guy use his wealth to be attractive by showing up in a sports car. Gilmore girls shows the reality behind the attractiveness of wealth. He has skills that very few poor people will have the time to learn(salsa dancing). He buys out an entire hotel for them to stay at. There are always waiters at their beck and call. But he has real old wealth so he is also confident in it. He has a casual confident attitude towards the wealth rather than a boisterous nervousness like someone who earned it themselves. He also shown as naturally charming and physically attractive. Knowing that he can get anyone makes him more confident making him even more attractive. I can understand the appeal. He is supposed to be super appealing. But this scene is tragic. Logan is using his wealth and charm to cheat on another woman. Dean and Jess are losing out to Logan even though they cared more about Rory. Logan's friends buy the club just so that they can play their own music ruining the night for everyone there and Logan goes along with it. In fact the whole scene is filled with tiny details showing how tragic it is. The camera very purposefully follows the old woman trying to sell cigars and the Asian waiter. This revelry is built on the less fortunate. Logan's friend make fun of the waitress for being poor and transgender people in general. Meanwhile the club that they shut down is shown is very purposefully shown to be LGTB friendly. The contrast in attitudes is obvious. Even more tragic is the book. Jess shows a genuine understanding of Rory by figuring out something she would be passionate about. A gift l that shows true understanding is the ultimate symbol of love. But then Logan steals it away. He takes the idea and turns it into to his gift by giving Rory a house to write in. Something he accomplishes by just having money. They really rub it in by describing the gardeners, maids and cooks. And of course unlike the normal TV version of wealthy attractiveness he does not actually give her a house, nor is he throwing a giant party at an obnoxiously opulent mansion. No he is doing what white guys with actual wealth do to hold on to women. He lets her borrow some advantage that is both incredibly hard to say no too but does not actually transfer any power to her. Accepting a house from a guy would make Rory into a gold digger but she "just house sitting") I know this because i have done it. I am not as wealthy or charming as Logan but even with a little wealth you quickly learn the "when you are out with my friends you never worry about paying for drinks, or for splitting uber, oh and yes you can use by netflix/amazon/hbo account as much as you want, and I know that rent just went up but you can keep paying the same amount as when you moved in, oh and can you watch my cat at my apartment for next month when I am gone feel free to use the pool.....). GG is so brilliant for calling this out. Logan is only one aspect of this theme but the whole series is a masterful demonstration of the power of wealth and just as importantly how that power is hidden and made acceptable.

By the End of the revival Rory Finely re connected to her roots her impressive resources which are her inelegant, Writing skills talent, Family history legacy to get herself back on her feet. The massage of the show for me is only when we are truly connected to ourselves to our true nature and we stop chasing after conventional success, we be able to find our powers back.

This whole show is really about the economics of wealth, and how Rory's character (which had the potential to be so good, with her intelligence, wit, and natural kindness, and to be used towards actual virtuous pursuits) was undermined by the lure of easy money - all an illusion to her, since she is just riding on its coattails (though I do assume that she will inherit it from her grandparents? I don't know, I didn't watch the entire show or new episode). I remember being really disappointed with the plotlines from university onward - while I went to university at about the same time that she did in the show and was absorbed into "do-goodism" and idealism, trying in my own scrappy way to make the world a better place, she just seemed to get more vapid and involved in these secret societies who only cared about having fun and being wealthy. I think that was her downfall.

I think the intention from the end of the revival is that they do get together. At least to me the last 4 words are 100% explicit that Rory marries Logan. Rory is modeled on Emily and Logan on Richard. A key part of the theme of the revival and really the whole show is that privilege really is powerful and covers up mistakes. Rory and Logan are both doing shitty things to other people but their innate beauty and charm along with their family wealth give them success anyway. Logan exploits this privilege in a typical male way by dating multiple women. One of the awesome things about Logan is that they portray him has so uncreepy despite his actions being fundamentally exploitative. He could get caught or Rory could turn on him but it would not cause him long term harm. Rory "exploits" the privilege by choosing to become pregnant, while following a passion without a job or a clear chance of success knowing she can always rely on her trust fund to support herself and beauty to find another guy(heavily implied Jess) to raise her child with if Logan does not follow her. Meanwhile Lane, her mother, and Paris either had to struggle incredibly hard to follow their dreams or fail despite trying as hard as Rory did. I think many fans see Rory as following her mothers story and being a single parent with Logan being Christopher and Jess being Luke. But they have not been paying attention. The whole series is about how the privilege Rory experiences as a teen make her life experience different than her mother. But the show is also clearly team Dean. Logan gets Rory but of the three Dean is the only one really portrayed as a hero along with Lane and Loralia.
I hope Rory and Logan will end up together, I mean Logan is matured enough to know what's bad, but even though he's married he still continue to see Rory, whatever it takes.
My one devastation with Gilmore girls is that we didnt get to see more of this dynamic groups wild stunts. I am genuine in the fact collin finn rory and robert along with logan are my favorite friemd group in the show and we should have seen a lot more of them. Dont misunderstand her friends paris and lane and the others were great but this group provides a fast paced comedic relief that I think could have carried the show just that much farther than the constanr drama with a lighter funner feel to it.
And his face at the 3:00 mark here says that he hates this agreement they have. He also loves her but for whatever reason she won't let them be more, so he takes what he can get. So hard to watch.

I hate how they did this to these characters. She should have said yes when Logan proposed. It’s good to see Finn is still Finn. They changed Rory and Logan so much, it ruined them. The revival ruined the whole franchise for me and many others. It would have made it much better if he left Odette and married Rory, they clearly still love each other.

I really hope they come back but for those of you that watched Gilmore girls when they were originally on the WB they keep saying how the show was suppose to end before Amy pallideno left when they showed a clip for a preview for an new episode and the clip was saying four words but they where Lorelei askn Luke to marry her so if you think about Logan was always meant to father rorys child. You can clearly see that all he wanted was for her to just jump first this time. Because he was always the one to do so. Asking her to be his girlfriend, to move in with him, to marry him. And of course that after he asked her to marry him and she said no, he can't simply go and beg her to be with him again until SHE proves that she wants it. Until SHE tells that to him first. The way he was looking at her here, you can clearly see that he was just waiting for her to say "Don't marry her." and he would definitely leave it all just for her. But he wouldn't let himself make the first move because he has learned from his past, and doesn't want to force her to do anything if she doesn't want to. Why risk a content life with someone even though he doesn't love the person, if everything with Rory wouldn't work out if he felt like she didn't want it? And you know damn well that as soon as he found out about that baby he came back to her. There's no point in denying it. Dean was the first love, someone who she outgrew by season 4. Jess was the adventure, but when it came to a long lasting relationship it couldn't work, and by the time he matured, she chose Logan over him without a second thought. Without even a bit of hesitation she spoke up and told him that she's now in love with Logan and that their time has passed. And Logan imo is the Richard to her Emily, and the Luke to her Lorelai. The whole engagement thing shows how they are a Richard and Emily, and the fact that even after a decade they were still in love and still found their way back to eachother (even in a messed up way, because they pretty much lost their way without one another) shows that they have that bit of Luke and Lorelai in them. But honestly what is even the point in comparing? They are their own people. And Logan being her Chriss? No. He isn't sixteen. He isn't afraid of commitment He even asked her to marry him and still loves her so obviously it isn't the same. As soon as Logan finds out about that kid, he would make it his life's mission to be a better father than his own ever was. These two are endgame, and every single Jess stan is in denial. They are friends and in the revival you can see that they work that way the best. Rory isn't in love with him anymore, but with Logan...She can't let go of him even after a decade. And honestly, Logan is the person she loved the most out of all of the men we were introduced to. Just remember that scene where he had to go to London for the first time (the "if you come with me I won't get in the plane") the way her heart broke. And then the way he loves her...Richard's second heart attack. The way he was taking care of both her and the rest of the family (which shows that he isn't Chris cuz that man didn't even show up) it showed that she didn't have just a boyfriend, but a partner, who would go through anything for her. Honestly I hated the ending at first because it's didn't give me closure, but it's obvious that those two are together with their baby right now.
And people say that Jess would be the better choice for Rory? Why in the hell someone can think that? Jess is her like a best friend for her but not the man who is the one for Rory! The only one who is the perfect match for her is Logan! Logan is not her Christopher, he is her Richard!

I don’t understand how we never got the conversation or explanation for why they aren’t together. We’re told of the Vegas agreement but never why. Is it because Logan lives in London? His family? Is it Rory still holding on to wanting to accomplish in her career before getting married. We at least deserve the explanation.
OMG people pay attention. This scene by itself makes it clear. Logan is using wealth to buy attractiveness that Rory can't resist but Logan does not have a deep connection to her. He is totally happy getting two women. Notice how give Rory a house to pursue her dream while Jess gives her the idea. This is also why I hated the revival cuz the growth that too place in the last 2 seasons got thrown out the window.

I need them to get it together. Logan and Rory make the most sense of almost any of Rory's relationships. I know a lot of people think Logan is Rory's Christopher, but I think he might actually be her Richard. Right down to the fact that he's engaged to someone else at the moment. You think he won't drop everything for her once he finds out she's pregnant (with his child. Is that even a question?). They should have just gotten married when he asked her the first time. What? Like being married young would have made her career prospects worse than they currently are?

I honestly have no idea what i was refering to when I wrote that it was so long ago. But I definately was talking about the proposal and all of the crap in the revival. She said no to him because she was scared that if she married him she wouldn't have the career she always dreamed of. Which she didn't get anyway. And in the revival all she had to do was tell Logan how she felt and he wouldn't have been with oddette.

I did think when the life and death brigade came to stars Hollow to whisk Rory away that Logan wanted to be with Rory. I think he was incredibly sad that he thought this may be the end, and I think if she had said at that time...

That was what I hated the most about the revival, that we had no idea how Rory and Logan came back into each others lives, and why the heck Logan left his San Francisco job to come back into the family fold.

I mean yes real life is messy but come on these are two people who love each other why can’t they just get together, there aren’t real issues complicating stuff. Logan’s character in the show was honest and loyal so he wouldn’t cheat this way, so it feels like the person who wrote this revival didn’t agree with the last two seasons of Gilmore girls.

I have never thought that Logan is anything like Christopher. Christopher and Lorelai got together when she was what’s 16. Logan came into Rorys life and she was in college at Yale. if he’s close to anybody in Rorys life it would be Richard.
I know many have compared Rory and Logan's story to that of Richard and Emily's story. Yet I feel Logan is also kinda like Luke to Lorelai as well, since when Lorelai would get upset; even after they broke up; she would call Luke and he would come running to the rescue. He never stopped loving her either, nor she him. And Luke was also into surprising Lorelai just to see her happy, same as Logan would do for Rory.

Don't miss the point though. This scene is supposed to be tragic.
A huge part of the idea behind Logan is that this is easy for him. So many less clever TV shows have the wealthy guy use his wealth to be attractive by showing up in a sports car. Gilmore girls shows the reality behind the attractiveness of wealth. He has skills that very few poor people will have the time to learn(salsa dancing). He buys out an entire hotel for them to stay at. There are always waiters at their beck and call. But he has real old wealth so he is also confident in it. He has a casual confident attitude towards the wealth rather than a boisterous nervousness like someone who earned it themselves. He also shown as naturally charming and physically attractive. Knowing that he can get anyone makes him more confident making him even more attractive.
I can understand the appeal. He is supposed to be super appealing.
But this scene is tragic. Logan is using his wealth and charm to cheat on another woman. Dean and Jess are losing out to Logan even though they cared more about Rory. Logan's friends buy the club just so that they can play their own music ruining the night for everyone there and Logan goes along with it. In fact the whole scene is filled with tiny details showing how tragic it is. The camera very purposefully follows the old woman trying to sell cigars and the Asian waiter. This revelry is built on the less fortunate. Logan's friend make fun of the waitress for being poor and transgender people in general. Meanwhile the club that they shut down is shown is very purposefully shown to be LGTB friendly. The contrast in attitudes is obvious. Even more tragic is the book. Jess shows a genuine understanding of Rory by figuring out something she would be passionate about. A gift l that shows true understanding is the ultimate symbol of love. But then Logan steals it away. He takes the idea and turns it into to his gift by giving Rory a house to write in. Something he accomplishes by just having money. They really rub it in by describing the gardeners, maids and cooks. And of course unlike the normal TV version of wealthy attractiveness he does not actually give her a house, nor is he throwing a giant party at an obnoxiously opulent mansion. No he is doing what white guys with actual wealth do to hold on to women. He lets her borrow some advantage that is both incredibly hard to say no too but does not actually transfer any power to her. Accepting a house from a guy would make Rory into a gold digger but she "just house sitting")
I know this because i have done it. I am not as wealthy or charming as Logan but even with a little wealth you quickly learn the "when you are out with my friends you never worry about paying for drinks, or for splitting uber, oh and yes you can use by netflix/amazon/hbo account as much as you want, and I know that rent just went up but you can keep paying the same amount as when you moved in, oh and can you watch my cat at my apartment for next month when I am gone feel free to use the pool.....). GG is so brilliant for calling this out. Logan is only one aspect of this theme but the whole series is a masterful demonstration of the power of wealth and just as importantly how that power is hidden and made acceptable.

By the End of the revival Rory Finely re connected to her roots her impressive resources which are her inelegant, Writing skills talent, Family history legacy to get herself back on her feet. The massage of the show for me is only when we are truly connected to ourselves to our true nature and we stop chasing after conventional success, we be able to find our powers back.

This whole show is really about the economics of wealth, and how Rory's character (which had the potential to be so good, with her intelligence, wit, and natural kindness, and to be used towards actual virtuous pursuits) was undermined by the lure of easy money - all an illusion to her, since she is just riding on its coattails (though I do assume that she will inherit it from her grandparents? I don't know, I didn't watch the entire show or new episode). I remember being really disappointed with the plotlines from university onward - while I went to university at about the same time that she did in the show and was absorbed into "do-goodism" and idealism, trying in my own scrappy way to make the world a better place, she just seemed to get more vapid and involved in these secret societies who only cared about having fun and being wealthy. I think that was her downfall.

I think the intention from the end of the revival is that they do get together. At least to me the last 4 words are 100% explicit that Rory marries Logan. Rory is modeled on Emily and Logan on Richard.
A key part of the theme of the revival and really the whole show is that privilege really is powerful and covers up mistakes. Rory and Logan are both doing shitty things to other people but their innate beauty and charm along with their family wealth give them success anyway.
Logan exploits this privilege in a typical male way by dating multiple women. One of the awesome things about Logan is that they portray him has so uncreepy despite his actions being fundamentally exploitative. He could get caught or Rory could turn on him but it would not cause him long term harm.
Rory "exploits" the privilege by choosing to become pregnant, while following a passion without a job or a clear chance of success knowing she can always rely on her trust fund to support herself and beauty to find another guy(heavily implied Jess) to raise her child with if Logan does not follow her.
Meanwhile Lane, her mother, and Paris either had to struggle incredibly hard to follow their dreams or fail despite trying as hard as Rory did.
I think many fans see Rory as following her mothers story and being a single parent with Logan being Christopher and Jess being Luke. But they have not been paying attention. The whole series is about how the privilege Rory experiences as a teen make her life experience different than her mother.
But the show is also clearly team Dean. Logan gets Rory but of the three Dean is the only one really portrayed as a hero along with Lane and Loralia.
I hope Rory and Logan will end up together, I mean Logan is matured enough to know what's bad, but even though he's married he still continue to see Rory, whatever it takes.

My one devastation with Gilmore girls is that we didnt get to see more of this dynamic groups wild stunts. I am genuine in the fact collin finn rory and robert along with logan are my favorite friemd group in the show and we should have seen a lot more of them. Dont misunderstand her friends paris and lane and the others were great but this group provides a fast paced comedic relief that I think could have carried the show just that much farther than the constanr drama with a lighter funner feel to it.

You can clearly see that all he wanted was for her to just jump first this time. Because he was always the one to do so. Asking her to be his girlfriend, to move in with him, to marry him. And of course that after he asked her to marry him and she said no, he can't simply go and beg her to be with him again until SHE proves that she wants it. Until SHE tells that to him first. The way he was looking at her here, you can clearly see that he was just waiting for her to say "Don't marry her." and he would definitely leave it all just for her. But he wouldn't let himself make the first move because he has learned from his past, and doesn't want to force her to do anything if she doesn't want to. Why risk a content life with someone even though he doesn't love the person, if everything with Rory wouldn't work out if he felt like she didn't want it?
And you know damn well that as soon as he found out about that baby he came back to her. There's no point in denying it.
Dean was the first love, someone who she outgrew by season 4.
Jess was the adventure, but when it came to a long lasting relationship it couldn't work, and by the time he matured, she chose Logan over him without a second thought. Without even a bit of hesitation she spoke up and told him that she's now in love with Logan and that their time has passed.
And Logan imo is the Richard to her Emily, and the Luke to her Lorelai. The whole engagement thing shows how they are a Richard and Emily, and the fact that even after a decade they were still in love and still found their way back to eachother (even in a messed up way, because they pretty much lost their way without one another) shows that they have that bit of Luke and Lorelai in them.
But honestly what is even the point in comparing? They are their own people.
And Logan being her Chriss? No. He isn't sixteen. He isn't afraid of commitment
He even asked her to marry him and still loves her so obviously it isn't the same. As soon as Logan finds out about that kid, he would make it his life's mission to be a better father than his own ever was.
These two are endgame, and every single Jess stan is in denial. They are friends and in the revival you can see that they work that way the best. Rory isn't in love with him anymore, but with Logan...She can't let go of him even after a decade.
And honestly, Logan is the person she loved the most out of all of the men we were introduced to. Just remember that scene where he had to go to London for the first time (the "if you come with me I won't get in the plane") the way her heart broke. And then the way he loves her...Richard's second heart attack. The way he was taking care of both her and the rest of the family (which shows that he isn't Chris cuz that man didn't even show up) it showed that she didn't have just a boyfriend, but a partner, who would go through anything for her. Honestly I hated the ending at first because it's didn't give me closure, but it's obvious that those two are together with their baby right now.
And people say that Jess would be the better choice for Rory? Why in the hell someone can think that? Jess is her like a best friend for her but not the man who is the one for Rory!
