Each of Trevor's songs tells a story and with this story, it's about a horrible man that goes out and looks for emotional weak women to have sex with and moves on to the next one. He gets them drunk so they're easier to control and then goes to their place to have sex then the man tells the woman everything she wants to hear (I love you, I'll keep you safe, let me be your man) translates to "make you love me from the start" and the kicker to all of this "put this bullet right into your heart" translates to you're going to remember me when I leave which was hinted at the start of the song talking about vanishing. But in the end, they have sex and the man leaves and the woman is left right back where she started 😔. This song is probably one of Trevor's most controversial song because as i said in the beginning, all music lyrics are interpretive to each individual. I believe the message of the song is that there are horrible men and some women in some cases that go out and prowl for emotional weak ppl to have sex with to feel good about themselves. Great track, my favorite..but I have to reimagine that the girl told him it's on before getting 'wasted' and it turns the song's story to being sexy. That's how it works for me 😅

@@evefischer6503 I'm pretty sure Trevor said that the song was inspired by his visits to Miami where there were people purposefully getting themselves wasted with the purpose of being taken advantage of, which isn't really healthy and is often a sign of someone who lacks love in their life
Truly spoken. Just like if I see a drunk man collapsed, doesn't mean robbing him is OK. Wasted girls should not be ' robbed' either, is what I'm saying put another way. It's great that the man in the song wants to shoot' (presumably )love into her heart is perhaps alluding to the man's gift he thinks he can give the girl in return for f..king her...but since she is wasted,she misses it all😂.😢😢😢😮
