My old friend sold Malcom an SS para smock many years ago when you were still in Essex Road, Islington. Sadly, not a single picture can be found of an SS para unit actually wearing one.
Very glad to watch a new video! I've been binging most videos on the channel in the past weeks and can confidently say I've learned a ton! As a junior collector of Dutch and Scandinavian prewar militaria, and as ww2 museum guide... All videos have helped me get more familiar with German and British items aswell! Thanks a bunch for that opportunity :)
Great video Dan and some interesting items, would you consider doing some British item's like Parachute regiment things, SAS or medals as these things are very hot and desirable at the moment..
i have a question....you have dealt in german ss officer tunics before i guess and may know a lot about them...did the waffen-ss generals ever wear a field green, not grey , gaberdine tunic before they started wearing the grey model ???...i appreciate any help from you...thanks...keep up the great work..

SS fallschirmjager battalion 500/600 never had helmets with ss decals, they always had luftwaffe or no decals jump helmets.
History happened no need to shy away from it it needs to be saved and remembered

I have the SS fj smock that was in the Bastogne museum. It is supposed to be the only one known that has seen action. All the others are non issued.

That SSParachute Smock is Rare as The Batallion was Destroyed in Russia if i remember rightly so something rather special
