I really think this is what makes a garment look just that little bit extra special . I haven’t had the courage to try it yet but I think I’m going to have to give it a shot. While watching this video, the Mimi blouse came to mind from Tilly and the buttons first book. Thank you for all the inspiration. Great video. 👍👍😊

Oh my goodness I love that blouse so much! Yes!!!!! You have to try it!!! Thank you for watching! And yes I think print mixing and color blocking, when done right, can really make a top look like it is designer!

Its great that you have taken my suggestions for using fabric scraps. I recently used quilting cotton fabric scraps to make mandatory face masks that we have to wear. Fabric scraps are also good to use for experimenting ideas.

I watch your dream dress video. I love it! I especially liked watching the photo shoot. Your husband took some really great shots. There were a couple I would have taken that he didn't but you are a great model and have some great poses. Do you wear this dress much? Where do you wear it to the most?
I really like the Cyclamen Top and I really like the 3 fabrics you chose. However, with such a large collar, to try to fit in 3 colors I think would make it look cluttered. Though if your idea of using the third color as a trimmed (bias tape) around the collar could look nice. Also could pick up the trim color in the buttons as well.
I've never tried this but what if, for a wrap, you had one side and the opposite sleeve in one color and the opposite side and sleeve in the second color? Maybe if the fabrics were close, rather than contrasting, it would work better with arrangement?
If you wash denim or canvas in Coke it softens it. I bet that would be true for quilting cottons as well, making them feel more like Cotton Lawn.
Pattern, Vogue 9067, is a nice example for color blocking. I don't think it would be fairly easy to hack any pattern to create the same design.

Good advice!!! I just wear that dress to church and sometimes out for lunch! I just love it! I also was thinking a trim for the cyclamen for the third color! Thanks for the pattern recommendation!!

Have you done a video about your sewing room? I love the boards on the wall behind you. Did you make them? Buy them? I would love details!
