Amyl and the Sniffers are a heady cocktail of garage punk with filthy riffs and sick songs, and tough frontwoman Amy Louise breaks hearts left and right with her electric stage presence. These legends hung out backstage before their first Cherry Rock show, an annual laneway festival celebrated by Melbourne's best rock dive bar. Thanks Christina. Australia for the save once again of Rock'n'Roll. The best thing I love about these guys is their fans are young (and some old like me) and their energy. Your's was the first interview I saw anyone mention Sharpies. I'm in the US but I am in a Sharpies FB group because of AC/DC and Rose Tattoo and the old guard loves them!

“The Old guard loves them” to true, not only do they do the 70s/80s Oz rock thing so well, when I watch them, there style I feel transported back to late 70s Melbourne especially Footscray where there was a prevalent Sharpie culture

I never thought I'd find a 'new favourite band' at my age. As you get older, you get jaded, seen it all before etc... But, fuck me sideways, these are bloody superb, and they've led me to discover The Chats, another bloody great band. I love that you're not attempting to be 'global', and you're not affecting a Hollywood accent. Abso-fucking-lutely superb. (By the way, I'm in England, and I'm far older than you want your fans to be!),
