    Great review, I just sold my 2018 sxf250 because I spent like 3k on it, things freaking fragile, so now I am considering buying a 2020 yz250f. This review helped me a lot, I am definitely getting one now. Gotta love the reliability of Yamahas

    The reason why the bike feels so wide is because of the air intake. The reason why these bikes have so much torque is because of the front air intake

    Why not the husky or ktm 250 not enough torque.Have 2 strokes all my life up to 500s in the day Rode an early yamaha 2009 and i change without clutch couldn't yamaha. Got on 2009 RMZ 250 it rode good felt quicker then and got 2 more newt 2011 stopped
    then. Am thinking again 2020 ? why not KTM SXF just a question. people say they drop a tooth in from is about 3 on back as to leave clutch so much ?

    Hey man, awesome review. I am some what “new” to the sport. I have not ridden in a long time. I grew up riding dirt bikes with my dad and we would go trail riding. I am wanting to get back into riding but will probably continue to trail ride. I stopped riding when I was about 19 (I’m 29 now) and I am wondering if you think a 250f would be a good trial bike or if I should look at something else?
    When I was riding I used to ride my friends CRF250 and was getting very comfortable on it but then he moved and I sold my yz125 after highschool and have not rode since. Just wondering what your thoughts would be, Any info would be much appreciated!

    • @UNYcross

      Did you sync the phone with your bike? Step 1) Remove the left rear side panel where the number goes, and you’ll see a little black box, the box has a password to connect the bike with your phone.
      Step 2) Go to your phone settings, click on WiFi (like if you’re connecting to any regular WiFi).. Step 3) Turn on the bike it will pop up as “Power Tuner etc..” on your phone WiFi settings and then add the password... Hope this helps👍🏼

    so from 2019 on they have less bottom end power? i've ridden a 2017 or 2018 and was amazed at how alive that one was. i now have a 2017 husqy fc250 and since i'm not the greatest rider, i don't rev it to the moon, since my skill level won't alow me to ride this way. hence the reason i'm leaning towards a yzf 250, just unsure on what year to look for. i really like the power app from yam, from 2019, but can it make such a difference in power delivery?

    • @UNYcross
      @UNYcross  2 года назад +1

      The app makes a very subtle difference to be honest. And yes the 14-18 model makes almost 5hp more at bottom end but the mid and top range on the 19+ more than makes up from it and the bike handles WAY better at speed. I like both a lot, but the 2020 is probably the best one. I have a 21 and I love it. 80 hours an counting.

    • @hannesdobbelaere
      @hannesdobbelaere 2 года назад

      @@UNYcross ok so the +19 have less bottom end torque but do you have to rev them as hard as ktm/husqy or can you short shift them as the ones before '19, can you still call the +19 a 'mini 450' like they used to be from 14-18? because a mini 450 style is really what i'm looking for.

    • @UNYcross
      @UNYcross  2 года назад +1

      U can definitely short shift. It still rides like a yamaha. And feels like a yamaha.

      @@UNYcross i got me a 2020 now and i'm AMAZED at how much better it feels for me over the 2017 husqy.
      sure it doesn't rev as high but it's so much more user friendly for the average rider.
      even the bottom end is fantastic ( i must add that this bike has a GYTR head, not the rest of that kit)
      and the power tuner make it possible to transform the bike from a 'lazy' bike to a screamer.
      so glad i got me this bike,also thanks to your comments (y)

    Just bought a 2020 gray Yz250f from a dealership has one hour on it. Brought it home wouldn’t even start up, then the battery died and won’t hold a charge? I’ve read people saying the 2020 runs rich and fouls plugs? And the stock battery’s are bad? Guess I’ll have to take it back to the dealership to get it figured out.
