Been playing this game for 17 years, and still watched this video! love the content around Runescape 3 and would love to see more potential new content creators around the game. Videos like this are what helps get them going! Cheers dude
Honestly, after switching over from OSRS, while it will always hold a special place in my heart. There are numerous quality of life improvements in RS3 that I have really come to enjoy.
I agree. I was hesitant because I've had such a long history with old school, but they've done a really good job with rs3 and I find it similar enough that I don't miss old school
I've been hanging out on F2P to help new players. Every positive experience for a newbie gets them a little closer to enjoying what the game and community has to offer. I started 3 months ago and whoa nelly was I overwhelmed by the ui, menus and lack of knowledge of what everything is for/how to play. If I can lessen that feeling for even one person, I think the effort is worth it.
I love people like you lol i just started and so far 3 people randomly gave me 2.5 mil for free! One saw me killing chickens and said here's for your effort and not begging like most noobs and the other said here's 500k for being a ranger and to keep on ranging haha
I'm doing the same. Played since 2001 have never played rs3 only oldschool. I'm wondering if there's any content creators series like boatys one man army?
Made an account today to give rs3 a shot, tried to do fight arena, tree gnome village, waterfall quest to get some early combat levels. Splashed on general khazard for probably a half hour before he finally died lol
got back in to RuneScape for a week now, and watching videos like this help a lot, and seeing a lovelying community is amazing Im glad to be back to RuneScape
I played the original Runescape back in the aughts, but only for a month or so. I probably should have selected never played when I started Runescape 3 this week, instead of saying it's been a while. Great video, I'm glad you're honest to us and tell us to have fun for free and get skills ranked up before starting a membership. I'm still in the starting town, did the combat skills and some basic skilling (woodcutter 15, firestarter 10, etc) but haven't touched hunter agility and many others, yet. Would be great to have another video specifically going over what to accomplish before getting on the boat, etc, as I'd consider "new" being less than 20 on any skill. I'm fresh as F and looking for direction lol.
1. Complete all F2P Quests 2. Get to lvl 50 combat 3. Get lvl 43 prayer 4. Level 50 base F2P skills 5. Make ~10M money 6. Get membership and try out member skills 7. Start slayer 8. Do useful member quests (link to video in the description) 9. Join a clan/make friends 10. Lvl 60 base skills
i just joined runescape its quite a good game ive been playing for 8 days and i purchased membership on my 4th day . i just cant get over how much there is to do in the game. its unreal. enjoyable at times but some things can get a little tidius just being honest but all in all. great game. i think i should of watched this before i started playing, i spent a lot of time walking around like a homeless kid no knowing what to do where to go . eventually i found my way and currently 1300 total level and 97 combat. my only struggle is gaining gp efficiently . i dont talk alot in game or ask a lot of questions and this is the first time ive had to use youtube as a source of knowledge. wiki has guided me to where i am now and im happy with my progress.
I'd never want to criticize folks like you who provide free helpful content. That said (1) ... this isn't really for beginners. At least, not rank beginners. You're not alone, Silenced; I've been wandering around trying to find guidance on runescape for true beginners. Some sites are a little better than others, but am mostly coming up empty. That said (2), I wish there were a commonly understood way to distinguish between guides for those truly new to this type of game[play] from those who are already familiar with the basics.
Hi Silenced! Awesome video, and thanks for your help with our new players since there are a lot of people starting the game nowadays. As a suggestion, it would be interesting if you made a video alerting this new players about lures and scamms, so they can get smart about that.
@@SilencedRS i recently have seen a lot of ed2 lures, ancient book and lunar book lure and the lava golem lure too. I think it's important alert about the levers on Adorugne and Edgeville that take you to wild. And for scams, the tips are: do not share your ID and password, do not enter in wild if are not willing to lose all your stuff, do not drop any items that you don't want to lose, make trades in only one window, do not trust anyone that isn't your friend... things like that. Again, thank you for your wonderful job in RS content!
As a long time player who just created a new account specifically for GP farming for my main, I can say this is a fairly decent guide. If I had to make a suggestion I would say, if you have time, you can create a gargoyle farming account in less than 3 months. 2.5m every hour for however long you can afk per day. I'm about to start up my third account and it's not bad if you're looking to farm gp for whatever.

Thank you man for making the more easy on the start i need to finish all the quest in the f2p end then i well become a member end well watch the next video in the series so thank you
Great video! I'm maxed (besides Archaeology), but I'm a returning player, so this was helpful in learning about what I can focus on first! There's so much new content! I think I'll check out Player Owned Farms first!

Can you please make a video about useful items you need to get for new player with membership? I'm about to get membership and have no idea what to do but quests. I saw there is some teleport amulets to the bank etc.
:P i've only done a few of these but have been playing since 2005 so ^.^ but as an ironman i didnt really focus on some of these, i got a clan pretty early on but until i got a tier 70 wpn i couldnt join them with raids and they pretty much never did boss groups so mostly just been solo for past 2 years (when i started my ironman)
I accidentally deleted the chat box and I dunno how to turn it back on. I also don’t know how to find different locations for quests in the map cause sometimes they don’t pop up and instead give directions, which I would follow but I still don’t arrive or see whatever I’m meant to see. I know I’m doing something wrong, but I just don’t know what.

I spent 15 minutes looking for a damn fishing rod. Then I realized
I already had one
