    For someone that does not know what turquoise looks like this would be confusing. You you of introduce the pictures of turquoise only , instead you showed two many pictures of gem stones which are not turquoise. Confusing.

    I always thought this stone was UGLY
    When we were little we had some neighbours that used to give us all of their unwanted jewellery (and shitloads of makeup) so we can play with it (yes they were that generous!) and amongst it was some turquiose jewllwery set in gold. I tried liking it but the blue was too ancient Egyptian pharoh like.
    So my association with turquiose was ewww
    But recently because of understanding the value of it I purchased the sleeping beauty one. I did it for investment but I find myself not taking the piece of jewellery off. Ironic how my perception changes cause when I remember how much I disliked it, it still evokes feelings of eww.

    When you say the colour may change in sunlight etc, does it fade or darken

    • @Sterlingjewels1
      @Sterlingjewels1 2 года назад

      Yes it does.

    • @lowkeygneiss7432
      @lowkeygneiss7432 2 года назад

      I believe it really depends....if you have natural oils in the "natural" turquoise stone, it will darken. I've always noticed that exposure to air and it's oxidizing effects a more likely to cause a "natural" turquoise stone to change color.....not necessarily fade.....if you have a blue natural turquoise stone, it all turn green over the course of maybe, 7years. Give or take depending on how much interaction you have with your turquoise jewelry.

    • @lowkeygneiss7432
      @lowkeygneiss7432 2 года назад

      If your turquoise stone has been stabilized, then the natural elements will not have much of an effect on the color of the stone.

    • @lowkeygneiss7432
      @lowkeygneiss7432 2 года назад +1

      Also, some people don't like stabilized turquoise, but i personally don't mind it at all. As long as there is dynamic matrixing or interesting color combinations that are appealing to me, then i tend to gravitate to it.....all in all, as a native American Diné, i love all turquoise, and there is no such thing as an "ugly" price of turquoise to me. They are all uniqué.
