Honestly, with Leola's last wish in mind (You are loved) I feel like they should've built more on what Aaravos and Claudia had, maybe ending with him making somewhat of a sacrifice to protect her. Like a proper sacrifice. It would've come full circle with Aaravos finally giving Leols what she truly wanted
That's what i'm thinking arc 3 could be. Hey so before I begin, I don't have a problem with anyone who likes this season. I respect y'alls opinion and am glad you can enjoy this season. With that said... I...have big problems with this season. The civil war between the protagonists was forced as hell. It COULD have worked if it was built up to but I guess every fantasy show with dragons has to speedrun the "hero to villain" arc. I get that morality is a big theme this season but the execution of everything is unironically kind of awful. Ezran went through a massive loss but he should not have become this much of a dick so quickly. It just shouldn't be in his nature. Raila is the most brash of the group, but does the journey she went with this boy mean nothing to her? Yes, she did talk with him about releasing Runaan...once, but for her to give up hope on him this quickly is an insane leap of logic. And my God, Callum could have ended it so quickly by simply telling Raila that he was gonna talk sense into his brother. But he doesn't for...no discernable reason? The most insulting thing though is that nothing is done with this plot point. Ez in any other point of the show would have probably still been cross with Runaan, but he would have let him go. Then, Raila and Callum would have just as easily been on their way to the silver grove and with a couple other minor tweaks, this forced melodrama could have been written out entirely. Another gripe I have with this season relates to the handling of Karim. I was really rooting for Karim since it looked like he would be redeemed and that would have been so cool. After all of his insistence that humans are the devil and whatnot, he can finally get passed his prejudice and become a hero to his people...he then promptly throws out any potential he had by trying to be Aaravos's good little bitch. They had gold on their hands and squandered it at the last minute. Man...I know that these issues might not be too much for some people, but it really did sour the whole experience for me. I want this show to do amazing things and this was just not it.
The Karim thing was obviously because they needed the plot to progress and for Aaravos to almost win. I was also hoping that Karim would redeem himself, especially after it revealed that his wife is pregnant with his child! It’s still realistic, because in real life, there are people who will never change their ways. I don't understand Claudia. She knows her father had no unfinished business, so he will probably not return. And she knows Aaravos' full plan to bring chaos and destruction. And now she has killed to help fulfill that plan. At what point does she become irredeemable?
Right! She does all this and has the nerve to say she is still ‘nice’. I feel like her character seems so inconsistent because they are trying to leave room for her potential redemption.
This season was better as a culmination of everything. Though still felt a little wishy washy at parts. Like why did we still need to include karim and him getting squished? Just such a dumb lifeline character.

@ Ya it turned him into a different kind of threat. Now he is just the force of nature they can’t get rid of verse being individually powerful. He literally was a giant and got rocked. The undead dragon did more then he individually did at the end fight outside of blowing up haha
I never liked the Lux Aurea arc throughout the seasons this spot was only useful for the orb then they just kept going with the whole trying to live together and rebuild. the star touch elf somehow have wings coming out from her arse
the happy innocent king was getting good beginning of this season but turn back to a innocent insufferable kid again so bad.
and many more bad things about this show....
the dad is the bird, and? where r they going with this, r they going to find the bird, nope, end of that plot,he is a bird flying everywhere no big deal
aaravos way to break the cycle is for eternal darkness, which can be easily prevented by destroying his staff? .... doesnt feel permanent to me at all, the gods be like thats ok many mortals in xadia can help them break the staff not big deal.... avatar fire lord wants to burn the earth kingdom down and destroy everything, that feels permanent and real. aaravos must die and when he does everything burns, right make it into something real, after exploding we dont see damage, is it big scale or just a small explosion somewhere, dont feel like a big problem at all.
this is a bad opposite of the avatar series, where the stakes r high and bending feels so well done, the magic systems in dragon prince feels like its not even important, just a way for callum to do some random spells for plot sake. and we dont even know about callum progression of his magic, is he a pro in sky after learning few spells, suddenly he is high mage how does he compare to a real sky mage, we dunno, wat about his water and other magic, claudia, feels like she is very into dark magic, we dunno if she is pro or not, but we can compare her progress with her dad who is a pro, so we know she is very good, callum somehow know the trap in coin spells, is it easy magic or very hard? it should be a advanced dark magiv spells right, to trap a powerful being like aaravos, so he is pro in dark magic right, how many times u seen him do dark magic, callum and the boy king are the 2 most under developed character i have ever seen
the ending how aaravos will return again, i thought they will somehow find ways to break that cycle would be a fitting end to the series, but he is returning, so everything feels less important. if u kill him, stars align and come back, if you imprison him, he stays alive, the threat is always there,
Imagine hating such a great series only because there is a lesbian relationship that's not even important lol
@shadycactus7896 I'm sorry. Did I just say because of lesbian relationship. U woke ppl r so insufferable. I don't. Care about lesbian part. I skip the part. So I don't really care about it. The screen time can be better used for other things more world building. It's so boring. Everytime woke ppl talk about hope and happiness makes me sick. Cos it's so hypocritical
During s1-3, I'm a janaiamaya shipper, coz they look cute. So I don't really have any gripe about their ship, even in the later seasons.
But aside from that, I agree with everything you said.
It could've been great, but it didn't.
@@shadycactus7896 I think the lesbian relationship hate is unwarranted, but the rest of this post is valid.
@@DMsd231-i6g You sound like a moron, and you probably are
This whole season lowk felt like a bunch of filler episodes! they didnt add anything new nor did they answer any of the questions! really disappointing tbh
This shit was mid af
You might not want to have AI read your script. The names sound like crap. Get a mic and record properly, please.
Weird way to end the arc the nova blade and coin were useless they just ganged up on him with the cliche stopping the mad dragon by just talking to him
The way this guy pronounces Aaravos, pisses me of. Especially since they say how to say it in the show
Please season 8
I support arravos
I would like to listen to this video except for the AI voice makes my teeth hurt.
If this show was animated even the least bit better I could’ve been engaged more but the story was weak and the animation has gotten worse every season since 3
