Pretty bold statement. Consider the Honda 50cc RC116, made in 1966. 18.54 hp, 16 hp at the wheel! At 21,500 rpm. That’s 6 hp per cubic inch. On commercial fuel. Just one example.
BLP offers skirted booster bodies to reduce potential airflow. Your two 1050 Dominators have a dry flow of approx 2100 CFM. I'd like to see what cutting those two 1050's back to approximately 950's would do to tq. & see if overall HP is retained. They're offered in a verity of OD's from .950 to 1.120 (p/n 5116) might be some more air-speed in your combo. Enjoyed every bit of this 21 minutes.
You sacrificed 20 LB Feet TQ with cam swap, but gained another 40 hp. Regardless, you made some great improvements, almost 50 HP and 30 tq from jetting. Then 60 more HP and 70 TQ from proper assembly etc. The cam swap cost you TQ but gained HP so that Rod is so lite, you can forgive the Torque, the MPH is going to go way up. 132 HP gain over what you had.... Hang on David.
Is lite like light as in not heavy?Acceleration and MPH are always determined by power to weight ratio.Torque is a static force and therefore does not affect speed nor acceleration which is just rate of change in speed.
@@teknoaija1762acceleration is a function of weight, grip, torque and gearing, hp is merely a function of torque over time. Mph is more affected by aero than almost anything else and to overcome drag you either need to apply your lesser torque more times per minute with higher rpm or increase the torque and maintain the same application of that torque over time rate. Steve Brule even said as much in the video 😂

This isn’t the first time I’ve heard this block being assembled incorrectly at GM. Specially only the 572. I wonder who that one person is/was and I hope they are not building engines anymore 😂
