I mean it's not a good habit to promote, but it's hardly the worst thing a parent has done to influence their kid, and they're probably gonna have a better relationship down the line. People are just overreacting as usual. If there's one thing I learned about these "ask and answer" subreddit (confession, AITA, etc). The people on there are so self-righteous and stuck in their own opinions, they make Joey on his worst of days look like nothing. Your confession could be like "I stole a candy bar when I was 5 from a family owned candy store" and they'll be telling you to serve a life in jail.
I think it's because. Sometimes our moral standards are dictated by what the law was while growing up. There's countries that have missing school considered an offence. So many people take that as a bad thing to do no matter the circumstsnce
Most of the time when a person is being rude at a restaurant they are either trying to scam free food or push employees into doing something they can sue the restaurant for. It might be satisfying at the time to get revenge but in the end you are just playing into their hands.
Yeah if it was an allergy and not Intolerance the restaurant is liable, and if they can prove you did it on purpose you'll be liable for damages, and at worst even be liable for their death.

Around 6 months ago my younger brother died after his (presumably) misread the app and ordered a coffee with milk instead of soy milk from his university dining hall. The allergic attack happened less than an hour after he drank the coffee and he was gone within a few minutes of symptoms beginning. He would invite her to the dorm every day and they would be lovey-dovey every second. If you ever had a talk with your girl where you confess things and be extra romantic, they basically did that multiple times a day. As foreigners we're able to change our dorms easily because of potential cultural clashes. They thought we would get along because we're both American but I've been in China for so much longer than him. Im probably 30% Chinese in terms of habits at this point. Luckily, I changed my dorm to some Japanese guy who's pretty cool
In the UK (and I'm sure elsewhere) there are catering catalogues where you can buy pre-prepared meals which you microwave, boil, etc. That person was doing this with extra steps and less than profit margin.

the hustling parents one is so relatable also if i have a son and he tried to hustle me but i saw it his getting an extra chore if i don't then good for him i hustle my dad for money a few time cleaning the truck for 10 dollars was great he did not say how clean though but i still respected my dad and cleaned the truck nice enough to not look like its been sitting out for a month.
