Leo Buscaglia was known as the Dr. of Love and in this PN TV episode we'll take a quick look at some of my favorite Big Ideas from his classic book, "Love." Hope you love it! :)

Congratulations. I love this book. I love your wisdom sharing. You have to love yourself before you can love others. Thank you

It hasn't been "tested" but it has been observed. Tragic but true!

That's so intresting! There's a swedish saying, han som fryser kan inte värma andra, which means, he who freezes can't warm others

can you recommend any present day speaker's who cover the same ground as Leo Buscaglia [love and open-heartedness] from a non-religious perspective, with the same passion as leo, if not his sometimes strident style.
sufism is known as the path of the heart, and its more mystical than religious....maybe you know of an english speaking exponent of that path, who is as inspiring as leo buscaglia?
    thanks for the interesting clips.

I doubt that the theory of the dying baby has ever been tested...or at least I hope.

“We need others. We need others to love and we need to be loved by them. There is no doubt that without it, we too, like the infant left alone, would cease to grow, cease to develop, choose madness and even death.” ~ Leo Buscaglia
Research the work of Bowlby, Spitz and Harlow with insights into the psychological and physical stunting of infants deprived of physical contact, although otherwise fed and cared for, as well as children orphaned in World War II.
