OK what about that mirrored piece underneath the heat sink cover… My MacBook won’t turn on but the fan stay on in that heat sink area gets very hot in one minute or less.
Bro do you really know what you are talking about??? I tried following your guide and the tail end of the heat sink is still hanging onto the fan an won't come off. You keep saying there's no other thing need to come loose for the heatsink to come off but that's absolutely untrue. Why fooling people here when you don't even know how to properly do it?? You must be missing a screw that you took off when you work the fan or whatever. Come on dude do better.

It is, you just have to shake it a little to pull it off, since the end of it has rubber. Make sure you have the right model.
