Here's a few bars you missed or just forgot the meanings of :D Peeking at 15 year olds- Beetlejuice tried to marry Lydia in the 1st film so he could escape the afterlife A star we'll see fade shortly? Betelgeuse is easy for him- reference to the currently fading star called Betelgeuse which the character is named after Hand hook for the recently deceased- There's a book you get right after you die in the Beetlejuice world called the handBOOK for the recently deceased The whole "being dead" thing- reference to Beetlejuice The Musical as a song by the same name is basically the Musicals main theme Tongue in her mouth filled me with stomach bugs- In the Candyman movie he forcefully kissed a girl a child to the mate lands- talking about being a perv and the main characters are Adam and Barbara Maitland fight with the Leprechaun- one of his movies was planned to fight The Leprechaun (another horror movie villain) like a Freddy vs Jason parody daddys rolling in his grave and taking stories based on slaves exploiting it for change- Candyman's dad was a slave slipping since Peele- Peele is the director of a newer Candyman film still in line to get to Helen- he is in love with a girl named helen in the Candyman films roast with the most- Beetlejuice's title is "The Ghost With The Most"
In Candyman's origin story, the Candyman was originally Daniel Robitaille, an African-American boy, who was born into slavery by his father. He grew up to have a passion for painting, and had a passionate affair with the blonde-haired, blue-eyed daughter of a white slaveowner. When her father found out that she was pregnant with Danny's child, she tried to stop her father and all of the other racist white people from hurting Danny. But it was no use, they took her away, as she saw them beat Candyman until he couldn't move. Then, they took Danny, chopped off his arm, smeared honey on his chest, and left him for dead when bees started stinging him. Because honey is nature's candy, that is why he was given the name, "Candyman", by folklore. Once Danny was stung to death, his body was burned on the cross by the racist white people, as a symbol of white supremacy. Danny's soul was never put to rest, so he cursed the town. He vowed that if any innocent people said his name five times in front of a mirror, he would kill them. Specifically, by piercing his hooked hand into their backs and gut them from their lower spine to their upper spine. He wanted to make them feel the fear, pain, and despair that he felt when he was tortured to death. But more importantly, to warn the town not to mess with him. Until the year, 1992, when he fell in love with a journalist, Helen Lyle, who also happened to be a white woman with golden blonde hair and ocean blue eyes, just like the woman that he fell in love with and wanted to start a family with. When Candyman kidnaps Anthony, an African-American baby, Helen makes a deal with him, she promises to become his lover, if he returns Anthony to his mother. So, he agrees and lets her become immortal in the afterlife, by kissing her and letting a swarm of bees enter her mouth, making her, his Candywoman. Only after the kiss, Candyman breaks the deal, and takes Anthony to the location where his body was burned alive to lure Helen in, and plans to burn them all alive, so they can be together as a family in the afterlife. Only Helen enters the fire, takes Anthony with her, stabs him with a sharp wood plank, and leaves him to burn to death. Helen manages to rescue Anthony, who didn't get a single burn, unlike Helen who died to her burns, and becomes a pale, white Candywoman in the afterlife.
7:45 The rightsholders to Leprechaun wanted to make a crossover movie and somehow landed on Candyman. Unsuprisingly it was shot down.
