5 Places to visit in OTARU during summer | Daytrip from Sapporo, Hokkaido | The Tummy Train

If you happen to be in Sapporo, taking the 30-minute train ride to Otaru is a must! If you only have time for a day trip on a summer day, these are the five locations I recommend visiting:

Otaru Music Box Museum
Sakaimichi Shopping Street
Otaru City General Museum
Old Temiya Railway

There is also a ski lift gondola that you can take to the top of Mt. Tengu and from there you have a great view of Otaru.
