The Rewilding / So You Think race is a great race. I'd much rather have owned SYT than Winx any day. SYT ran great races like this while she stayed home and beat Happy Clapper and Egg Tart.
Agree 100%. Winx's trainer and connections far too content to beat up on the weakest fields Australia has seen in 35 years. Add to that, the trainer is as suspicious as they come
Winx's best two wins in the WS Cox Plate are better than winning times by SYT, Sunline, Northerly and Kingston Town. Nuff said. Poor riding got SYT beat by Rewilding. He was put into top gear much too early.
I think you've pretty much missed the point of our comments mate. It's not about who was the best horse, it's about who had the more interesting career and who took the soft options. Winx just kept doing the same thing over and over again against the same boring horses. SYT raced at Longchamp, Ascot, Sandown, the Curragh, in America and Meydan and ran in a Melbourne Cup. He took on much bigger challenges than Winx ever did. Thank god he didn't stay home to beat Pinker Pinker and Ocean Park. What a freaking waste of a great horse that would have been. Like I said, I'd much rather have been a part owner of SYT going on that amazing journey than a part owner of Winx watching her beat Egg Tart, Youngstar and Who Shot the Barman FFS.
sendawar was a very high class horse but Dubai millennium absolutely destroyed him. the French horse was never the same again and obviously Dubai millennium had to be retired soon after.
Dubai Millenium beat a 125+ plus horse in Sendawar and a bunch of trees and hes number 1? Good horse but Bosra Sham and Ouija Board are the two best ive seen win this great race...

Rakti should be higher. He pulled for his head the whole race, but instead of tiring in the straight he quickened away. Monster of a performance.
Sadly the trainer of rakti, michael jarvis passed away yesterday

it was his last race and 2nd best performance ever, 7 length lead and beat the favorite, no one had a chance against him in the race
