Especially when I'm not feeling well or I'm irritated, the calm music and occasional laughs cheers me right up. "Dear diary, Today I met up with an old friend at XXX coffee shop! We talked about... But I wished that she had told me... " Your diary is your closest friend, spill anything or everything to it.
I think it would be awesome if you designed washi tapes that matched your bujo spread themes. Like your signature frog, these red florals, your tulips, etc.
I am a Maori and our New Year is in about June 😂 we have lots of time to get it right if the January 1st New Year is a fail. Ours is called Matariki and it’s around the winter solstice, so the days will get longer from there and you’ll have more time for family, nature, etc. It marks an end of the tough times and is used to focus on health and happiness, as well as a whole bunch of other things. I love that you used your cultures New Year for this one ❤ it’s absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing 😊 xx
honestly i love the weekly spread layouts you've been creating this year so far! there's some weeks personally where i feel like i'm using too much space for task lists, especially bc i switch a lot between using my bullet journal, notion, or a scrap piece of paper lol. i'm on the same page as you trying to do more check-ins or more morning pages type of thing for myself. looove this month's theme btw!! 🤩
Year of the rabbit here! I had completely forgotten last year was my year till you told us that the year of dragon is about to begin! But it makes sense because I achieved so much last year. Graduated top of my class at bschool, started a new job, took RUclips more seriously, etc etc. Year of the rabbit was really in my corner even though I didn’t figure it out till now 🙈

Honestly I think it's more useful when you aren't in school! School provides so much structure which just isn't there in adult life and the bullet journal helps bring that back

I'm year of the ox. My element is metal. I remember the lantern theme and the cherry blossom theme. I used lantern stickers the year you used that theme. I'm not much of a doodler but I love watching your videos. I don't even bullet journal anymore because I took too long to make my pages. I use preprinted planners and choose a theme based on stickers that match the season or something topical in my life. Thank you for all your beautiful designs and artwork!

Listening you talking about the Chinese zodiac signs took me to the anime Fruits Basket. I was aware of the legend before the anime of course, that’s why the anime was extra interesting to me. I am year of Goat ❤ When I was a kid during our family visits I’d get the feedback “you are so silent, as if you are not here” so I can tell the character showed itself. Animal zodiac is slightly different depending on countries I guess. In Japan, rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog, and boar. 亥 means pig in Chinese but boar in Japanese. In some countries like Thailand and Vietnam, cat is included instead of rabbit. I think these differences are so interesting. As a Japanese, I enjoy animal zodiac every new year's day.
