- This week Abbey and Pete are coming in live and direct from their holibobs in one of their most ICONIC episodes so far.
Fresh off the back of one of Peter’s more bruising Airport Ab encounters, Abbey and Pete are making the most of their Therapy Crouch to get some home truths off their chest.
After getting stuck right into the weekly whine club, Abbey and Pete decide to discuss their favourite musical icons from the years gone by. The usual suspects get an honourable mention - expect simply rouge and U2 - but their are also some more surprising shouts that you guys may not be expecting so stay tuned!
In the Agony Ab section, we hear from a working class lad who is concerned that his ‘bit of posh potty’ is on the verge of bankrupting him as well as a single mother who is feeling the strain of keeping up with the Yummy Mummy’s on the school run.

Got too remember not just what MJ did for dancing.. he basically created the proper music video with thriller! Back then that was revolutionary! It was like a movie with an incredible dance routine, in the middle of one of the most amazing songs.

What I liked best about this week's episode was seeing both Abbey and Pete gradually forgetting they weren't actually talking. Ross very much helped with this I thought.
What I didn't like so much that no mention was made of The La's.

Music icons, I agree with Pete MJ is the most iconic superstar no one can touch him. He was on a while other level. But I mostly agreed with all your choices Whitney, Oasis, Dionne Warwick, Lionel Richie, Madonna, Rolling stones, queen and too many more to mention. Did you mention Stevie Wonder?? Love him too. They definitely don't make them like.they used too. But I do love Miley Cyrus too, she has a wicked voice and isn't afraid to be herself. X
Love it! As for icons, it has to be Elton John every time! The man saved my life, as it was whilst I was at his concert I realised I needed help with my eating disorder and went to hospital the next day! Absolute hero of mine! Xxx

I just have to say when Abbie was talking about Richard Ashcroft I was like oh yeah she knows what is what the guy has the best voice from the last 20 years in my opinion absolute legend he is. Watched every therapy crouch since it started keep the content coming you creators
Prince was our Mozart, he mastered over 14 instruments by age 17, he could dance, sing any note, rap, he wrote, arranged, performed ALL his music, including wrote hits for other artists, he has covered almost every genre, Metal, Punk rock, hip hop, pop, r&b, soul, jazz, blues, country, ambience, meditation, classical, techno, house, disco, instrumental. The Multi-Genre God. He could play anything, and your favorite artists have been deeply influenced by him. Corey Taylor, Whitney Houston, Steve Vai, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Lil uzi vert, H.E.R. , Paul Mccartney, all worship Prince to just name a few.
Prince recorded his first 2 albums at 16 all by himself, all instruments, lyrics, arrangement, composition & vocals were all by him. He was such a prodigy, that music executives wanted proof, they would fly across country just to see if he could really play all instruments, because it was so unheard of. Prince has over 50 official released albums and when he passed, they found over 10 thousand unreleased Prince music in his vault. He then came into the business and was the FIRST to fight for artists rights, and he WON. He would write "slave" on his cheek and go to meetings protesting against the industry. Prince was also one of the first artists to sell his music direct to internet. You are talking about the most talented artist we will ever see.
I’m convinced every single couple on the planet has those heated rows but 99% aren’t honest about it bc they want ppl think they’re perfect. Pink and Amy Winehouse Calvin Harris are some of my faves they may be classed as more modern day icons and I think a lot of people would say Rhiana and Beyoncé are but I’m not massive fans of those nowadays!
A random 90’s one is savage garden I’ve just started listening to there album again it’s fab also for the 90’s was spice girls, take that then Robbie Williams on his own, I’m a massive trance/dance/EDM fan so love fatboy Slim, faithless, tiesto, Armen van burren, and so many other belting dance tunes from 90’s/2000’s that get raves/festivals going even to this day but I suppose there more iconic songs than people

I'm a 58 year old woman who's only just got into podcasts. Yours is absolutely hilarious, brilliant and insightful. I went to senior school in Southport and I love the scouse humour. It's really difficult to find the proverbial "music Icon" as there are so many genre's of music. Bob Marley, Paul Weller, Luther Vandross, Sade, Michael McDonald, Lionel Ritchie, Barbra Streisand the list is endless........

It is always so difficult to select the greatest music icon, for me it is mood dependent.
@@nizviz I totally agree about music being mood related. I also think it depends on your upbringing and if your parents were into music. It's a personal choice that what one man thinks is poison is another mans treasure. There are so many icons and it is what you feel at the time that can influence your choices. I completely forgot about Bon Jovi, Meatloaf, Toto who all deserve icon status.

Just to carry on from Ross's info about Abba releasing tunes in Spanish. I once learned a couple of Beatles tracks they brought out in German when I was a teenager in the 90's. They're from a couple of albums released of b sides and whatnot. Got 'Rain' on too, which is a tune. Anybody bothering to read this should check them out. Ones black the other is white. Pastmasters or something like that 💙
