This whole obsession with AD at the 4 is comical. Some people act as though it's the'70s and the NBA gauntlet that was Wilt, Unseld, Thurmond, Kareem, and Willis Reed was still in existence. He literally played the 5 when they won the title in the bubble. Dwight Howard was great vs. Joker, who didn't have an Aaron Gordon then, in limited situations. He wasn't the primary defender. Than Dwight and JaVal went back to cheerleading with towels against every other opponent. Including the Heat. People are romanticizing this. Including AD. A competent backup is what's needed.
We are the least athletic team in the west. Adding more players who aren't great athletes..quick strong fast good leapers. We can't offensive rebound or get to loose balls. Why....we are slow and don't have athletes around the rim or on the perimeter

Do you really need to go for fit? There's always a chance that a rookie will get time, but most likely the real value will come at a point a few years down when the roster will look much different anyway. IMO go for highest upside.

Jerami Grant is overrated, overpriced and underwhelming. And he's 30 - pass.
He's also a weak rebounder for a big man - only 3.5 rpg. That's even worse than Rui, who's also a weak rebounder for a big.
Keshad Johnson might be worth a look if he goes undrafted.
