Instead Incompetent Lakers let another West Team get Kyrie in the Mavs for 1 first plus 2 seconds and now a year later they're in the Finals. If LeBron & A.D got Kyrie last season, then they would've won a championship last season and would be in the finals this season if no major Injuries to Lebron, AD and Kyrie (Facts).
It's not an unpopular opinion at all. The problem is that team building is cyclical. You start off with drafted guys and walk-ons plus a few cheaper vets for leadership thus creating cap space. As the value of those players rise, you have to decide whether to extend their contracts and build around them or extend their contracts and bundle them with future picks trading for a franchise player. Once you have one, you try to pair them with another star player that fits well like a high usage guard for a center or high usage wing for a shooting PG etc. In our case we had LeBron join first and then got AD because we had LeBron. Once you are there and are in win now mode the players you want are high impact lottery picks, veteran role players that are 2-way players and min vet ring chasers at the tail end of their careers, who can still be valuable in the right roles. The game is about using the cap space wisely and exchanging pieces that do not fit in your vision or lineups for those that do. We have been utter trash at this and have kept developing players with terrible stats and zero impact and given away any and all 2-way veteran role players for guys that make absolutely no sense at all. Once it all falls apart, one or more stars walk or retire and you sell the veteran 2-way guys off for as many picks as you can and start the process over again. The problem with our fan base and front office is. We are half rebuilding and half win now, because a bunch of pundits said we can't win in 2020, because we are too old and too slow. We won. We had a lot of 2-way veteran role players in their ideal roles. Since then we threw every single one of those guys under the bus with absolutely nothing to show for it. We are still to this day in "F them picks" win now mode. We are supposed to be discarding what doesn't work like having 18M tied up in a backup power forward we hardly have minutes for, even when Vanderbilt isn't available, bundling them with picks and adding a starting 2-way SG and SF that can hang with starters. Yet half of you want to make sure D'Lo never comes back after setting a franchise record in 3 points made and dragging us to the playoffs with AD and Lebron and you want to add what we know doesn't work, a big like Drummond or Jordan. We had exactly that. It was horrible. The other half wants to play Max as a starter with Reaves as primary ball handler and draft a big. Reaves just got exposed as a guy who can't start, because he can't defend either. Max Christie is developing something somewhere, just like THT was. He doesn't fit the timeline. Lewis. Castleton. All of that is half a rebuild and makes 0 sense. I think the unpopular opinion is the one that makes sense. Get rid of Rui and Gabe using your picks and add Caruso and OGA. Done. Championship. Can't get OGA? Fine. Get Herbert Jones. Can't get him, then get Isaac. In any case Caruso is there for the taking at 9.5M. that's your elite perimeter defense right there AND he can shoot. Don't look for a star. You have two. Pray D'Lo comes back and get 2-way players for the 2 or 3. Trevor says it himself. You want DG from 7 years ago. Well, that's available on the market. We just ignore those guys and look for a center, specialist shooters or overpaid point guards or we want to develop Maxwell Lewis and Max Christie into Doncic and SGA. Neither one of those plans has any chance at all of working out for LA. In fact they are shaping up to look like the exact same plan. The unpopular opinion is that we have a hole where others have a starting SG and SF that can play with the best of them and hold their own. Reaves as a starting PG is hilarious. Murray is worse than D'Lo by far and even ranked worse on defense this year with D'Lo playing next to swiss cheese over half the season. He is D'Lo in faster with more mistakes and way worse shooting. He also folds like a lawn chair and can't step anybody, which is why him and Trae is as bad as D'Lo and Reaves. I think one of those two camps will win out. Either we get the useless big and specialists, which has failed 3 times already or we draft a big and add a bunch of young power forwards, convincing ourselves that this time we got wings and spend the money on whichever PG won't fold, but will be blamed at the end of the season. It doesn't matter which one of those wins out. It's the same thing. We need a starting SG and SF, who can play defense and be on the court at the same time as Lebron and AD. We need to give up the pipe dream of AR as a starter or Max stepping up big or us drafting a solution. There is also no big unicorn 2-way center with shooting in the NBA besides Embiid and Jokic. You guys are all busy finding solution to the wrong problem. 😂
Im gonna be honest with you guys. Ive been watching thr Lakers organization for the last 3 years and my conclusion is that they really dont care about winning championships. Its pretty obvious from the top down, they just want to sell tickets, they dont care about the championship. Lebron himself looks satisfied with 4 rings.
This is bull guys we need legit centre and versatile 2 ways guards.. Guys who can score and defend at a high level..... If not blow up the whole thing... Seriously....
We need defense. Most of the players mentioned recently are either equal or lesser defenders than what we have already. If we're getting guard he needs to be a Caruso kind of player. We getting a wing? Needs to be defense first or at least tall. Getting a big man? Needs to be a legit rim protector
Haha I had to come in from the kitchen on those financial analogies for the coaches. I've been working in finance for 15 years and that definitely hit home lol
Still on board for a full rebuild. Yes, we lose our pick next year, and yes we haven't hit on our top picks in recent years thank you Magic! But we have to start heading in the direction of the rest of the league and that's building through the draft, adding some good role-player/ vets, and in a few years attracting that next star to be blessed to wear the purple and gold. I’m ok with it being a 3-5-year plan as long as I see improvement each year then Im all for it. Two more years of Lebron will just set us back even longer! We will lose drafts this year and most likely future picks in whatever trades we do to appease Bron. The rebuild is inevitable and we're holding onto to something that is no longer in reach. We can't be scared of the future, we have to embrace it Lakernation!
The point of rebuilding is to ultimately end up with players like AD and Lbj, which you have now. You want to get rid of them and then hope that you draft players with their abilities and caliber? This team just needs minor tweaks, a solid wing defender that can shoot, and a big besides AD. Lauri Markannen is perfect .
@brrrrambo3983 exactly! No injury prone players. We need to stop overcorrecting and overreacting each time we don't manage to win. If we were better at keeping our cool we would still have Kuz,kcp and Carushow.

At first I was in favor of CP veteran presence but essentially Mike Conley proves you need that presence and play on the court. LA should find another defending guard to pair with Gabe & AR once DLo walks.
No thanks to Zack Edey. He was player of the year. But there's a reason why he's projected to be a low first round to 2nd round pick. His game outdated in the NBA. He's slow and can't shoot outside of 8 feet. Yeah, that's really gonna help AD. Lol
I don't think there's any chance of the Lakers winning the title in the next 3 years with AD as a base. Given the current teams, I think we should think about trading AD while he still has value for a young player like Ja morant and create a new dynamic.
what you said about thomas bryant is incorrect, at 15:21. I would like to correct it! He ask Rob if he was in the lakers future plan. Rob said no and traded thomas bryant away after that. Thomas didnt ask for the trade.

Why do the lakers want Lawry? Haha who is running this terrible front office? Lakers seem to constantly be in panic mode when it comes to finding a player. As if no one wants to play for this organization. Something we as fans don’t know.
49:19 - 57:33 - This. I want the Lakers Nation to listen to this carefully. Sure myself I couldn't stand LeBron, but I'm tolerating it because I'm a team fan of the Lakers. If he walks, what's our plan next? Nothing. Because we've got nothing, it will be a dark path.
Trevor look at the top 4 teams from this year's PO and tell me where the old guys are that made a difference... Conley is the main one and we know they lost.
Agree with minimum contract for one of them but what about Lebron 100M for a 40 year old player + his son just to make him happy? Stop thinking about him Lakers the club is bigger than ANY PLAYER start thinking on the future
I can answer that question because I have wanted Lebron to leave for a long time…..a lot more players would want to come to the Lakers when he leaves. Build around AD, build a team and play defense focused basketball.
If possible sign and trade LBJ to Sixers for Tyrese Maxey and Kelly Oubre Jr or Paul Reed. Rondo should be a Lakers coaching staff for sure, no CP3.. Lakers need to get younger and get players who excel as role players. No more DIVAS please.
What is up with this team and wanting to get these past their prime players, dont you know how to create your own stars? The getting other teams stars days is over, start your own future, WTF man!
Yes. Content is there if you want it. and if you don’t want it, have you ever heard of fast-forward? How do you think content makers make a living? And it’s totally free for you.
What's up w Spencer dinwiddie ? He is a better defender than dlo and not as good offensively but pretty close and we could keep him for like 5 mill maybe instead of paying dlo 20 mill?? And use dlo to get a better wing or big man and we know Spence can produce in the playoffs
I really don't care if LeBron stays or leaves. The Lakers front office created this mess. So, we fans are going to have to deal with the rebuilding process and a few years of sucking pretty soon anyway...... LeBron is going to retire soon and Lakers will not get anything in return anyway.... So, prepare yourself for the suck. It's coming....

@@chadillac1127You’re a LeBron hater not a Lakers fan. Big difference.
@@fearlesskingdom4051 I’m a life long Lakers fan actually. If it were someone who poured their blood sweat and tears into the team for their whole career I would be singing a different tune.
@@chadillac1127 No way on earth you can hate on LeBron for giving his all on the court and not be a LeBron hater 😂😂

No Lebron shouldn't want Bum Pelinka/Kobe Agent, The Buss Bratz and the Lakers Incompetent Organization who forget the million mistakes they made the past 4 years, but just last season choosing Bootleg Carbon Copy Choke Kyrie in DLow & Totally Overrated Vanderbilt for 1 First and using the other First to Draft a Bust over getting The Real Kyrie for just both of those firsts.
💯💯💯
Bridges or Murray are the only two options that fit multiple needs. To get the Nets to move on Bridges would cost the Lakers more than they can offer.
Trev vs Keith 😂
Just run with the young core. Bring everyone back. Draft a center @17 th pick. This is easy.
Unpopular opinion but yeah I agree. I wouldn’t mind developing our own players instead of coveting other teams “stars”.
L take
@caleb1795 I mean they take L's so yeah it would be an L take.
This is bull guys we need legit centre and versatile 2 ways guards.. Guys who can score and defend at a high level..... If not blow up the whole thing... Seriously....
Am I the only One Who would throw his Cell phone when He hears this trivial stuff?!
Kyle Lowry and Chris Paul? It's nice to see the Lakers dedicating more resources to working with senior citizens...
We need defense. Most of the players mentioned recently are either equal or lesser defenders than what we have already. If we're getting guard he needs to be a Caruso kind of player. We getting a wing? Needs to be defense first or at least tall. Getting a big man? Needs to be a legit rim protector
If Rondo wanted to be a head coach, I’d consider him over JJ.
Jeanie loves pretty boys. She will sign JJ.

Why
Haha I had to come in from the kitchen on those financial analogies for the coaches. I've been working in finance for 15 years and that definitely hit home lol
We need 2 way players only
But if we rebuild, we will get other teams picks
For AD etc.
@@infinitilove10 and not injury prone😂
🧢 cap , this lakers front office isn’t good enough to handle a full rebuild.
@brrrrambo3983 exactly! No injury prone players. We need to stop overcorrecting and overreacting each time we don't manage to win. If we were better at keeping our cool we would still have Kuz,kcp and Carushow.
Y'all keep on pushing the narrative about where LeBron going cause there's nothing else to talk about his family is in LA his home is LA his business is in LA he ain't going nowhere 💜💛💜💛💜💯
money talks u never know bro 💜👑💛
LeBron has More money then every player in the league what I think matters more right now is bronny making it to the league and succeeding and family Period
Also Bron brought us our 17th and AD along with him. STOP w/ the hate, it's sad at this point
Stop living in the past
I’m solely a LeBron fan, but being honest the situation is Philly is so much better than the one in LA
Trev Dwight Howard why won't they jus try got nothing to loose
Cp3 is just a punching bag to big guards. No deal!
You gotta be kidding chris paul wtf
I'll prefer CP3 over Lowry because he can play the Rondo 2020 version. AD needs PG that feeds him the ball. Why do you think AD was great in 2020? Because Bron played PG and Rondo was another PG
It would be funny if Jimmy B goes back to the sixers
i would love for our team to be as follows: pg melton, sg reaves, sf bron pf ad, c hartenstein…bench pg ty jones, sg buddy hield, sf vando, pf wood, c jonas valanciunas…with max christie and dinwiddie to round out the roster what you guys think? i think this roster will give us what we need to compete with all the other teams out there
The question is can the Lakers steal Zach Edey at number 17. He is exactly what the Lakers need. He is a 7'4" Center, 300lbs, and he can score. He may end up being the Laker's best player.
At first I was in favor of CP veteran presence but essentially Mike Conley proves you need that presence and play on the court. LA should find another defending guard to pair with Gabe & AR once DLo walks.
Just trade A.D for Embiid straight up
No thanks to Zack Edey. He was player of the year. But there's a reason why he's projected to be a low first round to 2nd round pick. His game outdated in the NBA. He's slow and can't shoot outside of 8 feet. Yeah, that's really gonna help AD. Lol
Exactly
I don't think there's any chance of the Lakers winning the title in the next 3 years with AD as a base. Given the current teams, I think we should think about trading AD while he still has value for a young player like Ja morant and create a new dynamic.
Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom for Chris Paul. Sounds like a fair deal.
Shaq as well
All that I wanna win mentality is thrown out the window when Bron is handicapping the team by wanting to draft his son
Hes still the best player in the lakers.
what you said about thomas bryant is incorrect, at 15:21. I would like to correct it! He ask Rob if he was in the lakers future plan. Rob said no and traded thomas bryant away after that. Thomas didnt ask for the trade.
What a INSANE world we live in … how could you turn around and commit the SAME disastrous error by hiring someone this time that has never coached ANYONE-ANYONE!!!
I’ll tell you what’s happening … we are WASTING Bron’s Years & Showing we need a change in the front office!!!
Rob, Jeanie, Bron, AD… they all need to go. 😂
If lebrons biggest focus is to be the undisputed goat he needs to go to Philly
I won’t mind getting Chris Paul for the vet minimum. He can come off the bench and be the playmaker
Why we are trying to get players old enough to be assistant coaches smh
For a minimum wage CP3 or Lowry are good, only for the minimum. I like Lowry which looks physically better than CP3.
Lakers are signing that no team wants and JJ will be the head coach. Lakers Championship 2034! Let's go!
The hardest thing about being a Laker fan is dealing with all the cry baby emotional fans. Holy shit. The fanbase has to atleast be 60% kids
Hire matt barns and d fisher as assistant coaches
I don't want to hear abt how good max is for another year. Yall gotta let it go.
what do you want kamenetzkys lakers??
8:30 I can hear Kieth’s eye twitching
With a banged up, overly emotional Embiid?
He already got AD. 😂
AD played 76 regular season games this season and you’re still pushing this bullshit narrative
@BasketballBeastWiam, it was beautiful to witness, but he's still banged up.
@@stockstalker1071 Yeah you’re a hater.
@@stockstalker1071 How is he banged up if he's literally healthy
@percyhezekiah603 and hopefully, he stays healthy.
Maybe we have different definitions of banged-up. To me, someone who has a history of injuries is banged up.
@BasketballBeastWiam it's not that serious to me. It's more satirical.
Ymmm I literally didn’t see CP last year. Plus at that age and production level last year why would LA want them anyway. At 37 both of them are done anyway.
I like getting grant bruce brown caruso some of these guys. N also we need a closer that van keep up with kyrie and luka and murray and these guys. So i also like reeves deroxan vando bron a.d. lineuo or murray reeves vando bron a.d lineup. We need a mid range assassin
AR can be the primary ball handler along with LeBron. Also if get any big that can’t shoot, it’s a mistake.
Nah Rondo spit on cp3 that’s unforgivable
Ok so just tell me you don’t like DWight Howard without saying you don’t like Dwight Howard because this was the same thing we were saying about him
How about length equal to den and min
Buddy Hield on a prove it 1 year deal...Ball out and get paid...See Malik Monk...
Fans aren’t too bright!! 😅
Why do the lakers want Lawry? Haha who is running this terrible front office? Lakers seem to constantly be in panic mode when it comes to finding a player. As if no one wants to play for this organization. Something we as fans don’t know.

Conley is the main one and we know they lost.
if lebron is smart, he should sign with the 76ers. that'll be his best chance to get another ring without taking a paycut.
Veteran minimum whose a defender or with length like conley
Agree with minimum contract for one of them but what about Lebron 100M for a 40 year old player + his son just to make him happy? Stop thinking about him Lakers the club is bigger than ANY PLAYER start thinking on the future
I can answer that question because I have wanted Lebron to leave for a long time…..a lot more players would want to come to the Lakers when he leaves. Build around AD, build a team and play defense focused basketball.
Lebrons not leaving the Lakers even though it probably would be an automatic trip the finals in the East 😂😂
If age is a factor why why why paid lebron a max,
If possible sign and trade LBJ to Sixers for Tyrese Maxey and Kelly Oubre Jr or Paul Reed.
Pat Bev and Westbrook coexisted and became friends on the team!!

How do you think content makers make a living? And it’s totally free for you.
But Russ still producing though he just didn’t fit the Lakers style of play
What's up w Spencer dinwiddie ? He is a better defender than dlo and not as good offensively but pretty close and we could keep him for like 5 mill maybe instead of paying dlo 20 mill?? And use dlo to get a better wing or big man and we know Spence can produce in the playoffs
Lowry and Paul can go to cancun for all I care. Just keep Spencer
Inst he a restricted free agent?
Welcome cp3. Still can hit 3's and midrange game. He will make sure AD get fed during 4th qtr and get other bigs easy looks. I'll pass on Lowry
Kyle Lowry didn't do anything for the heat, so what is he gonna do for LA?! And Chris Paul is just a NO! What is this front office thinking?!
