    Another great interview! I love how you dive straight into the conversation with direct questions, but sometimes it feels like the questions are a bit leading. I wonder if leaving more room for the guests to share their perspectives without guiding them in a particular direction could make for even richer insights. Maybe starting with a simple ‘Could you introduce yourself for the viewers?’ could help set a more open tone. Either way, I enjoy the content - keep it up!

    Its crazy to know that the principle of NATO - 'Not Attached To Outcomes', which Shree Krishna gave to Arjun during the war of Mahabharata is so well practised by some of the best athletes in the world. The detachment, ego, and the self is so well talked about in Bhagavad Gita.

    Its high time that the resources are diversified to other sports. Cricket has held the high command for too long and its not even a global sport. Most people dont look beyond cricket, probably not because of the love for the game but because of the grandeur with which the events are held. New sports should be broadcasted, funded and supported, so that they go on to captivate the interest of the people. Only then India will be have a podium place among the best sporting nations of the world. Go Gukesh. Make India proud❤

    • @asimmishra2764
      @asimmishra2764 20 часов назад +6

      First of all, the resources we are talking about belong to BCCI and not to the Indian government....
      Second, cricket is generating way more money than the initial investment..... And as far as chess is concerned, finance of players and training sessions are not at all an issue (at least in india) and most importantly chess could never be popularized like any other physical sports (football, cricket, tennis etc.) because it requires more intellectual abilities rather than offering any entertainment value to everyone, so broadcasters will never put their money to broadcast World championships matches in mainstream channels like cricket or football....

    I’m not sure if my earlier comment was deleted :( would be a pity if it was…anyway, just reiterating here to say that an interview of Gary would also be good. Would be good unbiased journalism. I don’t agree with Gary’s view that Gukesh is not world championship material because he’s 5th in ranking. He was dismissing the entire championship and stating that it’s just another FIDE title. Imo, both Guki and Ding are deserving as they completed all the required qualifications to compete. A champion is one who continues to fight - Magnus withdrew voluntarily so others shouldn’t be penalised or looked down at just because Magnus made a voluntary personal decision. I also wanted to contrast this with Ding - who despite what the whole world is saying, hasn’t withdrawn. For me one who continues to fight despite all odds is qualified to be a champion already.

      Virat unfortunately didn't do well in ICC champions trophy final nor two test world championship finals. He failed in some very big moments which was sad. Virat is a great player but he too failed in some high stake crunch matches.

    • @asimmishra2764
      @asimmishra2764 5 часов назад

      @@critical_analysis wrong his 43 runs helped in the 2013 CT final to win the trophy... And WTC final criticism is valid but BCCI is at fault for players not performing well in that because they have to schedule and play the whole IPL and WTC final is secondary for them... Yet he has scored 49 though 😢

    • @critical_analysis
      @critical_analysis 4 часа назад

      @@asimmishra2764 I don't consider them clutch players, of course they are truly great players and not exactly clutch. ABD for all his talent never won a major international trophy for SA. Sachin too failed in two world cup finals even though just on natural talent and technique I consider Sachin as the finest batsman of his generation. Sachin always had issue in chasing when the stakes were high.
      In my view, clutch are players like Viv Richards, Ricky Ponting and so on. When it was really required for the team and the stakes are high, they used to perform. You can say the Australian team is a clutch team because somehow when the stakes are high and pressure is immense they perform. Viv Richards never played for the records but for the team and the way he won matches was awesome.
      Please note, I am not belittling Virat, he is my favourite current Indian player but our media and fans fail to see objectivity. Our media hypes our players to the moon. We won T-20 cup after nearly 15 yrs, even though every year our players are used to playing in IPL. Our team is very good and consistent but our media hypes them like they are better than Australia in these important tournaments.
