Girl they are lying. First of all not too many French girls are wearing red daily, it’s just a stereotype yall are feeding. It’s more popular to wear natural make ups. Second, she asked a girl from Sephora what sells the most in Sephora and she is literally supposed to give Sephora’s products priority… I searched from French side: Mac Russian Red is the most selling red lipstick in France and Sephora sells Mac.
Girl she asked "best selling RED lipstick". No one asked for the best "every day" shade. And no one thinks French women wear red to the convenience store lol. But they definitely do wear red on occasion.
She asked best selling red lipstick not best selling lipstick.. thre best selling lipstick is a pink Dior lip tint. Also their is multiple sephoras in Paris (or atleast I think correct me if I’m wrong) and this is just the store that Sarah (same name as me lol) went to.

Probably because different countries have different “most sold” products. The first was the most sold in France, and the second one was the most sold in the US. She didn’t want the same color, she wanted what was most popular where she lives.
Those are two different looking colors.. one in first clip is a darker classic red and this one here is more of a true red (what i call, "SnowWhite lips 💋) and they're both awesomely beautiful shades of red! Fyi, I don't know if they're still available, but Katy Perry had these same two shades in her line (they weren't smudge-proof) and I wore them to the bottom of the container! 💋💋💋

To say I know my reds would be an understatement, but I know exactly how a "red" shade will look on me based on my natural lip skin shade. 👄💄💋
I feel like it also depends on lighting, the first girl seems to have no ring light/natural lighting or a very dim ring light and the second girl seems to have a more bright ring light meant for makeup
I used to work at Sephora and each person is given a “zone”. In that “zone”, you HAD to sell them something from the line unless they asked for another brand specifically and you would send them to that zone and go on walkie to let them know “hey babes in too faced, pink shirt is headed to you for help with born this way foundation” or something. I would say, when I worked there, the BEST selling was Rihanna’s Stunna liquid red lip. It’s not drying, long lasting, super creamy without too much transfer and anyone lived. The runner up would be haus labs atomic shake red. Dior and ysl tie with requests for red lips, and mostly would be when someone was coming in with their old to restock their home station. The Sephora liquid lips do provide long wearing coverage with no transfer, but are too drying. They remind me of the original Kylie lip kits or the og kat von d everlasting liquid lip, just too drying compared to the long lasting formulas we have today that don’t leave you crispy.
I had a sample of that lipstick . Maybe something was wrong with the lipstick. I could not get it to set/dry. It constantly moved and looked like a mess. It was unwearable.
Same, the only coloured lipsticks I wear anymore are this formula because I'm always so scared of staining everything. These stay beautiful after a meal and last for hooooouuurs without drying my lips and I forgot I wear it
I have so many of their lip stains. The first color I ever purchased was Always Red about 10 years ago. The entire Sephora Collection has great products and usually made same factoroes more expensive brands. It's only cheaper because Sephora doesn't spend money on advertising and they don't have to pay for shelf space.
Anyone sleeping on the sephora collection are missing out! The cream blushes are nice too if you can get them, and the mascaras have been my only go to since the Marc Jacobs left Canada
