You're 100 percent correct, the cold starts are the roughest on the engine pieces. You should get a tazer, it does hold and supresses the last button memory, but it gives you a while lot more options too. You don't even have to configure all of them, just say 'i want auto start stop disabled by default'. Install for the tazer is basically the same thing you showed but it plugs into both of those plugs from the gateway box, but it's about the size of 3 checkers stacked up so there's not s whole lot of trying to secure it
I also have a 22 extreme and have done a lot of same mods. One question do you have a rake with bumper and winch? It seems mine is about 1.5in lower in front.
I also have a 2024 Wrangler Rubicon. But I'm having the most difficult time getting my fingers in there to access the module as there's barely any room and my hands are only average size. Any tips? It's a 2 minute job that I'm now stuck. Thanks. UPDATE: I contacted their customer service and they were no help. There is something directly behind the wiring harness, something else above and in front. I’m only able to barely get one finger on it from below which isn’t enough to undo the clip and remove it. Given their return policy, it doesn't make sense to even try to return it. So I just spent $100 on something impossible to use. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AUTOSTOPELIMINATOR or do so at your own risk.

I'll be doing this shortly... then removing the aux battery entirely so it doesn't drain the main battery

You could try getting a small flat screwdriver up there to try and unplug the connectors.
