    Some good tips right here, also the soundtrack was fire 👏🏼

    I'll have to try. I honestly really like the Liquitex markers you taught me with like 5 layers, I use them on the larger 1" fire styled letters instead of the 3/4" letters you use. If I screw up I let it dry and pick it out with an exacto and a magnifying glass.

      That’s pretty cool! So many different color options though with the Angelus. I can’t pass it up. I’m glad the liquidex is working out for you though. 👌🏼👊🏼

    Thingy ma bob, you scored I didn't get any when I bought the bottles! I only cut the paint with dye when I'm doing something with layered colors or shading. LOVE the music

    I use the same technique on stamped letters and graphics. I would love to see the outline of the letter and another color fill techniques, so when you get there, share on RUclips!

    Hey I love this paint tech. I've been having problems with the paint coming off.
    Idk if it's my process. I stain, condition, then I put a finish coat of leather balm, Buff it up then i try to paint it and it will rub off eventually. It doesn't permanently adhere. Am I doing something wrong?

    • @SofieldLeather
      @SofieldLeather  5 месяцев назад

      Paint for sir before anything. Do not condition first. Especially any waxy substance like bees wax. After the paint cures, then add your conditioner on top. Hope this helps.

    Curious what color of leather you are painting on here? Is it either chestnut or medium brown?

    • @SofieldLeather
      @SofieldLeather  10 месяцев назад +1

      I think it’s chestnut. But could be med. brown. 🤔🤔🤔. I’ll go with chestnut

    I am painting dog collars and dog names. Can you paint collar all one color and then paint letters or is it better to paint background and letters at separate times. Background and letters are different colors.

      Thanks for the comment. I buy my leather already dyed from factory. Acrylic will go over anything though. Check out Don Gonzalez. He’s has good tips on this topic. 👌🏼

    I love your work, yes, but I subscribed simply for your song🤣🤣🤣 I film tutorials too, and that's basically the song I sing in my head when I'm working on something strenuous. Especially when I could do it much easier if I wasn't filming & trying to get specific angles & other things you do when recording as opposed to just working alone. 🤣🤣🤣 Best song ever. It's a hit, bro! 🎶 🎤 I'm nervoussss🎵 🤣🤣🤣

    Any tips for a name that has 2 of the same letters in a roe, how to maintain that spacing?

    • @SofieldLeather
      @SofieldLeather  Год назад +1

      Good question. I’ll have to make a video on that. In short, place the previous stamp then add a dummy stamp in place of the first repeated letter then your able to reuse the stamp. For example, the word Bass.I would stamp like normal the B then the A then the first S. I would keep the A in place and place a random stamp back on top the first S. But not stamp it obviously . It’ll creat the proper spacing to stamp the second.

      Thanks alot I'm a leather noob and have add, Last name is Morrow, and I literally was thinking about emailing the stamp manufacturer and seeing if I could purchase a second "R" lol another video would be great, your content as far as firefighter goods, strap goods, and leatherwork is one of my favorite!

      @@SofieldLeather perfect sense, im gonna cut some extra strapping I have laying around and practice a little bit, making sure I get good at centering up my stamps, do you typically stamp and paint before you sew or visa versa?

    • @SofieldLeather
      @SofieldLeather  Год назад

      Stamp first. Then glue backing. Then stitch. Then bevel. Then paint last. This way you don’t tear Ip the paint when you flip to bevel the bottom.
