It's crazy stuff. I know your watches snd what you taste is. Since I watched every video you make. Every watch I know why you have it. Psycho I am I guess. This is a show I look forward to every year. Lume wars is a show I miss. You play in the kazoo had me excited to see what we're gonna look at. Very few get to see my watches. Thank you for sharing again.😊
I only added one watch to my collection this year but it was for a big milestone. The owner of the coffee company I work for retired and sold his company to the employees as a worker-coop. I figured that as now a part owner of a coffee company I should celebrate the deal with a Brew Retrograph with an espresso dial. It's a beautiful watch and it is the perfect memento to commemorate this time of my life.
Thanks for the yearly shoutout Jodie! So pleased you still wear the Doxa and it’s in your forever set. Some of your others are to die for especially that burnt orange watch!! Merry Christmas mate.
I have done nothing nothing to my collection within last year and I was proud of it, but almost whole November there was a great sale on Ali so I could not resist bunch of straps and one total bargain full spec diver which is still on it's way to me 😅
Great collection. I thought I had too many watches at 22 and was aiming to get down to 16, but maybe now I don't have enough!!! Thanks for your videos in 2023, it's been a awesome year of entertainment. Looking forward to getting my Eberus early!
Living on a fixed income and inflation have curtailed my watch collecting, but I "live" precariously through JOMW videos. I always look forward to the SOTC videos. You frequently mention selling some of your watches. It would be really interesting to see a video on how and where you sell them, with hints on how to make that process foolproof.
This year's lesson -- when you misplaced a watch in your house and can't find it, you may have too many watches. Best wishes for a safe and prosperous holiday season and new year to you and your family, Jody.
Love the different options you have! I started the year with 10 watches & I narrowed it down to 3 watches, believe me it was tough lol I kept my G Shock GW6900, Seiko SRPE93, & Tudor BB 41 79540 silver dial. Looking to add a Cartier Tank Must sometime in 2024
Thanks for sharing your collection again with us Jody. My son Xavier loves the Merkur skin diver I picked up from you earlier this year. His first manual wind watch. Looking forward to my Erebus arriving in 2024 ❤
It has been a year of selling for me in 2023. Having offloaded 5 watches including a sentimental piece (tissot) I responded by adding 3 new pieces into the collection. The disease is real people ;). Birth year Explorer II, Christopher Ward Sandhurst Bronze and something special for my wife this Christmas. Love the videos Jody, keep it up.
Is it reasonable to sell watches that don’t keep time very well or have some qc defects? I have several to sell but nervous about customer dissatisfaction on the back end
Every time I watch JOMW SOTC I feel better 😊, it’s becoming a tradition for me. Sold 3 and bought 2 this year, shrank the collection down to 6 pieces only. Let’s see will it expand in 2024 😊
Have 55 in my collection in 6 years of which 50% are influenced by your videos!!!! This year I added 15 the most I added in a year..Now my next year watch will be a Blancpain Aqua lung homage in 40mm...2) A perpetual Calender watch 3) A Grand Seiko..provided I sell atleast half of my collection..lets see how it goes...
Love your channel. Always look forward to the latest video. Surprised the Blue Lacquer Citizen NB-1060-12L "Dial of the Year" didn't survive in your collection.
Nice vid on your state of the collection, as always very entertaining Jody! Like you stuff come and goes from my collection, but unlike you, I give mine away to my youngest son or my nephew who enjoy watches. Once I give them out, then I go back and get something I like. I think I have about 55 or 60 watches in my collection. I did got the Momentum Seaquartz 30 Magnum watch on the strap, then I got a jubilee for it but not the one from Momentum as they are too expensive. Also got a Seiko SNK381K which is a sort of a homage to a Vietnam era watch called the Seiko MACV-SOG 6106-8217, very good watch, put it on a strap which gives it a closer look to the original from that era. Another watch I added is a nice 36mm homage to the Tudor Ranger from Watchdives, which seems to me are a sub of San Martin. The watch case and finish is as close as you can get to San Martin but for a bit less money, it has a VH31, very well made. I maybe missing others, but that is it for now, I'm sure it will not be the end of that. Anyway, great vid and may you and your family have a great holiday season, although is your summer time.
Another incredible video. It makes me think about each watch I own and how personal collecting can be. And also the evolution of collecting once you get to a certain number. And how you can love a watch and never wear it, which some might consider strange. All the best for 2024. Looking forward to another year with my favourite RUclips channel.
Fascinating. You've got me beat but I did own twelve BMC Minis in the 80s. That was difficult, especially since eleven of them didn't run. As you pointed out, cars are a lot bigger than watches and I made the change after figuring that out myself. 😉
Great video. I absolutely love your chronomaster. My collection has grown quite a bit in the last year, but I haven't been able to part with any. I'm up to 36 watches now. I spent most of my life with just a daily watch and a dress watch until I caught the watch disease. Not being able to find one of my watches would drive me crazy.
Love the collection! Keep up the great work Jody, and congrats on buying a new house as well as launching Erebus. Huge huge things ur doing! My current collection consists of: Seiko: 5 pepsi, 5gmt batman, presage cocktail time black cat martini (ssa393), prospex Speedtimer ssc911, prospex Alpinist Sugess: Moonphase master V3 aventurine dial, Chronomaster Panda V3 black panda, Seaman NH35 hulk Boderry: Storm, Urban Tissot PRX Casioak GA2100BWP Blue White Porcelain limited edition modded with AP RO mod kit from ali x Pagani Design: Day-Date green dial, Submariner hulk
Nice variety there! I've tried to slow my additons down this year after adding 30 plus over the last couple years. The Direnzo is still on my radar and at top of my list for next year. Love the case and sandwich dial! For the next year I've limited myself to 4 new editions. One of which is your Erebus, really looking forward to its arrival! Sticking to my new rules, i passed on the Vanuatu lottery email i received a week later. My third Helm can wait another couple years as I'm still #2100 plus. Always enjoy your reviews! Cheers!
After flogging off a large part of the herd, I am down to 30. That feels reasonable for now...there was once a time where 1 was enough, crazy to think. Enjoyed the annual catch up on the contents of your boxes as always... cheers chief.
I added a good few watches this year without realizing how quickly I did... bought a few new watches and a ton of cheap old beaten up 70's and 80's watches, as a hobbyist watchmaker I just slowly fixed them up and now boom I have 8 new working vintage watches. A cool "swiss digital" hand wound roll style movement TV style case from 1973, a few timex, a Helbros, amd a few ramdoms. Phoibos Eagle Ray 2 auto is my favorite pick up of all time and that was in march. Swapping the movement on my old snk809 in a few weeks when the 7s26 comes in. I just ordered a seiko srpe41j1 and I cannot wait to see it and wear it on christmas and new years! Ive been eyeing it up since your video ages ago, it is gorgeous. Cheers Jody! Happy holiday season, and happy SOTC! When I finish my studies i'm going to work on getting a business grant and starting a micro-> macro scale watch company, perhaps someday we will be talking watches and I'll be giving you watches to try and enjoy!
Fantastic collection and review, best part is your humility around the pursuit and purpose. I’ve been eyeing the Grand Seiko SBGN005 - the GMT functionality and quartz practically would finish off my collection.
@@perfectwrist23 It really seems to be - I haven’t had a chance to wear one, having a couple of larger Seiko divers, this might be a great addition for its size, durability and functionality.
Great video and a great, wide and varied collection. Added a few last year including the Arnie I purchased from you (thank you) but need to trim my collection in half. Having said that, alreading added an orange Doxa Sub200 this year...oops! 220+ down to 100+, that's the plan...wish me luck!
Always love the state of the collection videos. I’m a massive pre bond fan. I currently have 2 in the collection and had a few over the years. Love to see you get it repaired and back on the wrist 👍🏻
Always look forward to this video. To me, the 'real' collection is tied to those listed under the Forever category. I got the sense that Jody has the strongest connection to these watches. Many of the other watches are tied to watches purchased (or perhaps donated) for the purposes of a review. I would not be surprised if most of those watches are gone inside of a year, or so. Side note: I am still bit wistful that Jody sold his Ginault, the watch that, more or less, started the channel. I was thinking that he would always hold on to it for that reason (murky history aside).
Great collection Jody - glad to see you still with a Direnzo in the collection! I 'm planning to get an 02R (or maybe the upcoming 06?) at some point, lovely things and will go with my 04s nicely. I also did pick up one of the Avocado San Martins myself - excellent watch, on my wrist right now! (have it on a green/white Samco silicone - as good as Barton for $5 on Ali!) And as for not collecting cars... says who? 2023's been a light watch year for me, but I picked up my weirdo dream car - a 1992 Subaru SVX. Cheers to 2023, here's to 2024, eh?
Went back in time and watched your 1st SOTC. Oh how times have changed (and how some of it is exactly the same👍🏼). Your channel has more meaning to me than just an enthusiastic guy talking about watches so thanks for that!m. Looking forward to the factory tour and looking even more forward to getting my Erebus possibly a month early!
31 in my collection. Mostly Ali, but 1 RLG, 2 Spinnakers, 3 Casios, 1 vintage Seiko, 1 Citizen Eco-Drive, 1 LIWxTGV, and a Bertucci in a pear tree. One Boderry Sea Turtle on the way and one Ixdao Bronze. I'll wager your missing Seiko is still in one of your watch rolls or a backpack from one of your recent trips.
What a collection! Amazing 🤩 I'm in love with the the quartz Citizen with the white dial 🥰. Amazing watch! I love as well the Casio Royal because it was my watch when I was a teenager 😊. I have to get one! Thanks for the video, Jody!
Love the SOTC it's like a Christmas time tradition to sit and watch these eps like the last episode of a favorite TV show. Love the Seiko section and Casio section the most. But overall an interesting and exciting range of pieces throughout. Cheers Jody
Another great year Jody. All the best to you. An in and out year here. Was down from 40 to 6 over the last 3yrs, then a couple more have come in and a few out. Happy with 9 watches. Covering all (my) bases Citizen c650 Skyhawk Blue Angels 2002 Oris TT Diver 2008 black dial Oris ProPilot X Blue 2023 Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Blue 2023 Raymond Weil Nabucco GMT 2009 Seiko King Samurai White 2022 Seiko SpeedTimer White 2023 Tudor Black Bay 58 Leather 2020 Tudor Black Bay GMT Bracelet 2021 So have vintage/contemporary, Bracelet/Leather, (and Samurai on Rubber for activities), blue/black/white dials. Dive, GADA, Military, Dress, Chrono, GMT, WorldTimer. All great quality (and value imho). Citizen, RW and Oris TT have sentimental value so will go nowhere. Expect one in, one out for 2024. Eyeing up the Longines HC GMT 😊
This video is exactly what I needed during my covid quarantine period. Love seeing your collection and it makes me think of the direction of my own collection. Can't wait to see what the next year brings.
Jody, many thanks for yet another year of entertaining watch reviews. That Christopher Ward is stunning. Looking forward to the arrival of my purple Erebus!
Thanks for sharing a sneak peak into this years collection and can't wait to see what you have install for 2024 and possibly an expantion to the Erebus line of watches...? 🤞🙏😄
Enjoyable video. My favourites here are the Green San Martin, the Seiko Sarb and the Cadisen (sentimental reasons as it was one of my first watches in my collection and now also misplaced somewhere 😆)
Man, I watch a lot of your videos and I pretty much have to keep myself from buying stuff you suggest BUT, I've recently bought two this year just based on your reviews alone: one is the Steeldive 1970 Willard homage on waffle and then I bought a titanium Bertucci though it was the solar version. Probably two of the watches in recent years I've found myself thinking "man I'm getting that right now." What's good about this channel is value so, like another popular 'tuber said recently, don't go into debt just for things. Jody has a great channel for high value, low priced watches that don't break the bank or stretch the wallet. Well done Jody. Extremely well done, I appreciate you sir.
Nice collection Jody although 10ish is enough for me. A few keepers arrived this year, Helm Vanuatu, Helm Komodo and a G-Shock MTG b3000 which is essentially a beefed up Oceanus.
Congrats on the new home. I hope fortune lands in your favor. 48 this year, still time to equalize your yearly numbers Jody. Merry Christmas and have a great New Year to and the whole JOMW family.
Great content as always, great to see the collection moving forward, with new additions, the Nomos is beautiful orange watch, and Citizen Chronometer woah, I add this year a 36mm Marathon 17 jewels, 41mm GSAR Artic Military Dive in white dial with red band,38mm The Halmiton Murph, San Martin 36mm the Ranger,Casio all black Bluetooth and another San Martin GMT, so don't feel bad I'm right there with you..will see was next, for next year cheers...
I bought a Vanuatu last year and I'm super happy with it 😀 been on the waiting list since for one more and it was my turn last week so only one year waiting list
Great SOTC video this year! Only 3 added to my collection (Hamilton, Casioak metal, Casio MTP3050) and one Seiko5 sold. Its been a bit rocky for finances so we will see if I sell more next year to make ends meet. Still looking for a great deal on a Citizen Eco-drive and a an orange dial though..
10:38 I saw a Citizen in my local jewelry store that looked a lot like that--same rubber strap in the same shade of blue. Oh my God, that thing was drool-worthy--it may very well be my next one.
Sitting at a healthy 20ish, Jody! Been a selling year for me to motivate my unused Seiko parts to build a few. Goal for 2024 is to buy a grail watch. Likely an Omega railmaster
Great collection! I currently have 16 watches in my collection and I bought only 1 watch in 2023, a Seiko SPB143. Needless to say, it stays on my wrist most of the time. However, I have my eye on a Hamilton Pilot Day/Date (Interstellar). I may even wait until 2024 to pull the trigger!
Hi Jody! A nice Christmas Season tradition to watch your annual SOTWC! My own collection is growing and growing. But I’m too lazy to get rid of some sleepers. Best wishes, Claus
Those "pre Bond" Seamasters are so cool, came with Omega movements for two years before going generic eta, if just an eta, (as most with Mercedes hands are) it's a cheap replacement job, the Omega's movements are servicable. Great Vid bud, great year too.👍
I too, have the Christopher Ward C1 Moonphase so looking forward to your review. Similarly, I keep thinking of buying a Farer - great design and value imho.
Hey Jody.. wow you're addicted!! Your wife and father have great taste. Love the Aqua Terra and Navitimer. Also the new CW Moon Phase. I'd sell and give away the rest and work on a solid 8 piece collection.. but slowly. But thats just me.. lol Cheers from Canada
So glad to see the Chronomaster in your (99%) Forever collection. Your review inspired me to pick up a The Citizen and it is a truly beautiful and unique watch to own.
Very enjoyable video, Jody. Many desirable watches you have there, but my envy is for these (in no order) Momentum Seaquartz Direnzo Fleux Shin Diver Citizen Chronomaster Omega Seamaster Pre-Bond Seiko SARB Nomos (but not orange, for me) Casio Wave Ceptor
What an amazing collection! 🤩 Just at the beginning of my watch collecting journey. Currently, I have only 6 watches in my collection. Fortis Marinemaster M-40 (bought when my daugther was born) , Raymond Weil Freelancer Chrono ref. 7740 (bought when my son was born), Tissot Chemin des Tourelles (my first watch purchase and worn in my wedding), Panzera Aquamarine 45 (second purchase), Casio G-Shock (given to me by my father when I joined the Norwegian army) and Von Doren Grandmaster Mark II (a Norwegian microbrand and a watch I won on a lottery for charity). For 2024, I am looking at maybe a Formex Essence 39 or Reef, Farer, Christopher Ward, Maurice Lacroix Pontos S Diver 2023 or Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea 🤩
Time flies. Watching the JOMW SOC video is, for me, becoming an annual tradition. 😂
It’s like Love Actually, but for watch geeks.

Seiko King Samurai White 2022
Seiko SpeedTimer White 2023
Tudor Black Bay 58 Leather 2020
Tudor Black Bay GMT Bracelet 2021
So have vintage/contemporary, Bracelet/Leather, (and Samurai on Rubber for activities), blue/black/white dials.
Fantastic collection, I'm also thinking about adding a Grand Seiko.
Great collection.. agree with you on the cars. I love them, but I'm not getting a hanger to store those!
Something to have with my lunch. Cheers mate
This video is exactly what I needed during my covid quarantine period. Love seeing your collection and it makes me think of the direction of my own collection. Can't wait to see what the next year brings.
Chronomaster is my favorite! Just the best
So happy to know the Aerolite is part of your collection! Thank you!
Thank you for a great SOC. Thanks to budget and the wife, I live my watch collecting in part, vicariously through you. 😉
Omg that Spinnaker is awesome!! I need a Cornish one!!
Jody, many thanks for yet another year of entertaining watch reviews. That Christopher Ward is stunning. Looking forward to the arrival of my purple Erebus!
Jody, where do you sell your watches?
I have the PD Mission to Alaska as well. I put it on a velcro strap and it’s the best MoonSwatch money can buy!
Ooh Farer - definitely give one a go. I bought a lovely 38mm Aquamatic this year and am really pleased with it. All the best to you and yours for 2024
I have a solid eight watch collection. Half Seiko and half Casio
Thanks for sharing a sneak peak into this years collection and can't wait to see what you have install for 2024 and possibly an expantion to the Erebus line of watches...? 🤞🙏😄
17:49 @justonemorewatch how did you get your logo on the watch dial ?? i want one with Godzilla fighting Blu Eyes white dragon etc....
gone up 9 watches to 15, woo hoo, always climbing🎉🎉 also bought 2 watch box !!!! thanks Joddi
Thanks mate and thanks for watching! Good choices and I'm glad you are happy with them both. Cheers!
I love your Seiko Alpinist and Citizen Chronomaster 😍
You were in Hong Kong! Would love to have a meet up here some day. Lots of your fans here Jody!
From a fellow Scot🏴
Nice collection Jody although 10ish is enough for me. A few keepers arrived this year,
Helm Vanuatu, Helm Komodo and a G-Shock MTG b3000 which is essentially a beefed up Oceanus.
Favorite video of the year
Brilliant video Jody...really interesting to see how your tastes have changed over the years...keep up the great work!
I bought a Vanuatu last year and I'm super happy with it 😀 been on the waiting list since for one more and it was my turn last week so only one year waiting list
About 30 in my collection. Thanks for the video!
Great video, even though the light reflections off the crystals were killing me😖😩😄
I'm up to 38 watches, with one more on order (the Spinnaker Fifty Phantoms). I should really sell off a few!
Really like seeing more of you guys
10:38 I saw a Citizen in my local jewelry store that looked a lot like that--same rubber strap in the same shade of blue. Oh my God, that thing was drool-worthy--it may very well be my next one.
Nice patina on the Omega diver. Get it running and wear as is. You earned every one of those dings and scratches!
Sitting at a healthy 20ish, Jody! Been a selling year for me to motivate my unused Seiko parts to build a few.
Goal for 2024 is to buy a grail watch. Likely an Omega railmaster
The one we've been waiting for
Annual srocktake.
Excellent episode, love this!
The Christopher Ward moon watch looks amazing!
Really like the Chronomaster Jody. Clean crisp dial and the Chronomaster in italics! Spot on 👌😎🔥. Merry Christmas 🎄
Thanks for the video, good luck on the house. Let us know about the Oris, please.
Hi Jody!
A nice Christmas Season tradition to watch your annual SOTWC! My own collection is growing and growing. But I’m too lazy to get rid of some sleepers.
Best wishes,
Claus
Those "pre Bond" Seamasters are so cool, came with Omega movements for two years before going generic eta, if just an eta, (as most with Mercedes hands are) it's a cheap replacement job, the Omega's movements are servicable. Great Vid bud, great year too.👍
The chronomaster is nice!
I'd sell and give away the rest and work on a solid 8 piece collection.. but slowly.
But thats just me.. lol
Cheers from Canada
So glad to see the Chronomaster in your (99%) Forever collection. Your review inspired me to pick up a The Citizen and it is a truly beautiful and unique watch to own.
Am eyeing the alpinist GMT black dial for a while now. Can’t wait for your review to help me get over the line. 😅
I was saving up for a tudor black bay or oris until this video
Thanks Jodie for the heads up
I'd stick with the Sellita powered version. I don't think the calibre 400 is worth the extra.
Consider purchasing my black Seiko Neo Sports SSB277P1. Discontinued but BRAND NEW! Very sharp looking watch!
The black Seiko chronograph is stunning 😍
Very enjoyable video, Jody. Many desirable watches you have there, but my envy is for these (in no order)
Momentum Seaquartz
Direnzo
Fleux Shin Diver
Citizen Chronomaster
Omega Seamaster Pre-Bond
Seiko SARB
Nomos (but not orange, for me)
Casio Wave Ceptor
Sir please take the review of SEIKO SARX 117/115 thanks love your CHANNEL❤❤❤
What an amazing collection! 🤩
Just at the beginning of my watch collecting journey.
Very Nice those Erebus 😊
