      @@drjojithomas sir suppose radius of cylinder is slightly more than radius of sphere...how many degree of freedom the sphere has??

      @@chandankumarsahu8201 a small play will always be there, a pin joint between two binary links is assumed to have one dof but there may have a small linear motion possible but if that play is not affecting the purpose for which it is made we continue to assume it to have one dof only. Our aim is to simplify the analysis. Otherwise there may have all 6 degrees of freedom in most of the cases(microscopic level)
