    I have similar skin tones to you. Being pale but olive is super frustrating.
    Glad to know there are others out there. 😂

    You're the first person I've seen on YT with the same skin color and undertones that I have. Was vacillating between several of these same brands and shades online, but wasn't sure what they'd actually look like on my skin, especially after drying. Thank you so much for this video, it was really helpful!

    Thank you for this review! I’m like you, very fair skin from my mom but olive undertones from my dad so foundation matching is very hard. Will be checking out more of your foundation reviews :)

    I just don't know if this is for me. I really have hard time with matte formulas and if they need babying not for me.

      Totally understand. It's an unusual formula.

      If I use the nyx primer oil under a matte foundation it looks beautiful and lasts longer than dewy foundations , u could try that if you wanted🤷🏻‍♀️

    I really want to try the Colourpop in the .5 because that looks like a good shade! I have the .3 in the Smashbox and I feel like it is too white/pink and makes me look like Casper, lol, which is rare. I had one of the new samples that leaned yellow and it was perfect but I don't know which one it is/was. I may pick up 1.05 and try that with white....

      The Colourpop color works really well for me after it dries down but I have a really hard time getting it to wear well, of course! I hope you can figure out which sample worked for you!

    Hello. Thanks for your review!! Nyx in light porcelain is more close in shade to Fit me 102 fair porcelain then Superstay 102?
    If i have to choose one with the the best full hight coverage, best long lasting power and best "pores looking".. for combo-oily in t zone - Do you recommend the Superstay or the Nyx don't stop?

    • @frecknic
      @frecknic  6 лет назад +1

      I find the Superstay easier to wear in general. Fit Me in 102 is a bit lighter than the Superstay in the same shade, so the Superstay would be closer to NYX Light Porcelain. Hope that helps, sorry I missed your comment earlier!

    U should try the beauty blender Bounce foundation in 1.1.. it’s really beautiful foundation. It’s my only high end holy grail, everything else I love is drugstore

    Hey. Do u know which shade in Nyx cant stop wont stop is similar to mac studio fix nc10? (Warm to netural tone)

      @frecknic  6 лет назад

      Just added a few swatches to my Instagram Stories highlights with this (paleandfreckled). Light Porcelain is a touch lighter and slightly more peach in undertone. I only have these two shades so I'm not sure if there's anything else that might be a better match but it's pretty close once they have dried down some.

    I remember thinking how yellow toned and light nars siberia was, now next to those it looks so peachy and dark!

      Right? It's crazy how much has changed in the very fair foundation selections

    I might swatch this in stores to see what it looks like, but I probably won't buy it. I have the Total Control foundation in Pale and while I can definitely wear it, if it's more saturated and full coverage than that, I know I'll look too yellow 😑 I'm also afraid of how the formula would look. It's too bad the drugstores here don't offer samples!
    Speaking of samples, one way I get more mileage out of mine for my reviews is to wear the product differently on each half of my face. That way, each time I'm putting it on, I'm conducting two tests at a time ☺ I don't know if that helps or not, but I thought I'd pass it on just in case!
    Also, I'm only just now noticing that your eyes are two slightly different colours! How cool 💜

    • @frecknic
      @frecknic  6 лет назад +1

      Yes, that's a good point! I do that sometimes but I definitely forget more often than not 😅 It's pretty funny, both eyes used to be blue then when I was a teenager some yellow crept into one and now it looks green 💚

    Can someone please recommend a shade for me!! I'm kvd 42,fenty 110..too faced cloud..Superstay is far too dark for me...I have neutral too cool tones I can also wear yellow tones :)

      I would get the shade Pale if the Superstay in 102 Fair Porcelain is too dark for you!

    Pale is perfect shade for me. L’Oréal 400 works also well for my skin however the shade stopped producing and 405 is dark! I wonder if there are other drug store foundations have the same shade.

    • @frecknic
      @frecknic  3 года назад

      Are you outside the US? I ask because L'Oreal does have 400 in the Fresh Wear (along with newer shades 390 Snow and 395 Rose Pearl) still available here.
      I do have this which has comparison swatches for the 400 shade from L'Oreal here, if it might help:

      @@frecknic Thank you for your suggestion. I’m inside Canada. Unfortunately here the lightest shade of L’Oréal fresh wear is 405. 400 and the other lighter shades are not available even if you search online. I personally like NYX pale shade because it matches my skin tone well and make me look fresher than 405. I took official photos wearing these two shades to compare and I can see pale shade looks more natural than 405 shade on me. For other drug store foundations I heard they do not have greater shade range and might oxide more than nyx and L’Oréal so I think it’s an upsetting phenomenon for pale/fair skin toned in Canada

      Do you have access to Makeup Revolution? The Conceal & Define foundation in F0.2 might be a good fit for you. It's very pale and has a yellow undertone as well.

      @@frecknic Thanks for letting me know! However I checked some stores website found the lightest shade is F1 😂 The shade picture on website tends to be pinkish probably similar to Estée Lauder 1C1. I’ll make a note to see if I can have a chance to swatch. I watched your videos and found loreal true match W1/w0.5 is also a good shade amongst drug store foundations. For high end foundations, estee lauder 0N1, Lancôme 099 and born this way all look fair with slight yellow undertones are also awesome recommendations. Love your videos on different foundations with detailed description and swatches 👍

    • @frecknic

      Yeah F1 is too dark for me so, that's a shame. Hopefully you can find something that does work for you!

    I don't think I realized I'm not pale until today. I have shade 102 in Fit Me or Supersay (I can't remember which) and it's white, pure white on me, whereas it actually has color on you.
