Watching this like 30x and im able to cut my HB hunt time. From 20min to 11.29. Insane. I need to get to base to sharpen and entering valor mode again and thats it. This run is masterpiece
Regardless of how I personally believe any form of Glavenus to be the easiest, and simultaneously most fun, to learn how to parry with Valor Longsword on. This is no less deserving of what me and the boys call a study sheet for tonights homework! Good stuff guy!
this is fucking insane, I think no one can surpass this speed. this is art, he just maximized the frequency of doing the damage. the degree of sophistication is unbelievable
i want everybody here to keep in mind that the fucking counter of valor longsword has a higher motion value than the guild style spirit combo finisher... every time he counters he basically does as much damage as a red gauge sprit finisher... that's crazy... he's crazy... all of this is crazy
The "time left" in quest info counts down at the beginning of each second and not at the end. The exact time can be seen in the end screen, which is 04'22"40; I just truncate the centiseconds in the title.
What does trigger the throat explosion? Is it damage threshold? Number of hits? Or dmg within a specific time window? I mainly go for the head but explosions don’t occur that often
Wait what? No earplugs and yet HB's roar don't affect him? And he was countering HB's #1 attack from behind? Am I missing something here? I'm a LS Valor main and I've never been able to counter an attack from behind unless it was an attack that does aoe (like an explosion or tremor). If you are able to do that, lmk. 🤔 Though maybe it's cause I've never really tried countering an attack from behind cause y'know, it's instinct to face towards an attack if you're trying to counter. That said, every counter that succeeded was on point so props for that 👍 *2:38* I also never knew that it's actually possible to have your spirit gauge increase upon landing a counter...🤨 I apologize for my skepticism here but I've played MH long enough (since Freedom Unite) to question things that I've never seen before, like shown in this video. Is all of the things shown actually possible? From a gameplay stand-point, literally everything was spot on. But from a statistics view, it kinda leaves me scratching my head wondering...how the f does that happen? Or how the f can he/she do that? Eitherway, please relieve me of my concerns with actual explanations. Thanks!
@@joha4574 Well after a bit of research, it appears that you can gain some gauge back if you land the counter. Even if it is true, I don't think I've ever seen my gauge go up ever...and I've used Valor LS for almost 600 hours now (roughly 1800 total usage) My assumptions come from months of trial and error and no research so please understand where I'm coming from. Which is why I am still wondering how the roar didn't affect him even without any earplugs...
James Lee son, listen! This is one of the best regarded speedrunners in MH. Your 600 hours are his warmup. There is no place for you to be questioning anything here. You are just subconsciously in awe cuz you thought you were good but realized you were bad compared to really good players after watching this. Now you are looking for excuses.

I’m suffering so much with this EX and finding teams. Seems like 4 hunters is just more people to use the carts. Now you inspired me to try solo. I see you had challenger+2 i’m guessing critical eye + 3 critical boost, weakness exploit, anything else?

yep, as long as you're in valor mode the first hit of spirit combo will be have a guard point at the beginning
