      I noticed right away that Robert was wearing a suit. Another RUclipsr, who is normally a casual dresser, also wore a suit and tie when interviewing Archbishop Schneider. Very nice.

    Bishop Schneider’s argument for receiving Holy Communication on the tongue is the best I’ve ever heard. This man is a treasure of the modern Church. Thank you for bringing this interview to us, Robert.

    That's it I have to exercise my knees to be able to kneel on the ground and not rely on altar rails. Once i receive i can manoeuvre my way to the side to get back up...but ive always had the voice in my head pushing me to kneel down. I know it's the right thing to do. Oh my, I wish I had tlm near me. But even the one I drove 2.5 hours to go to didn't have Altar rails, so I'm in the same Boat thank God.

      At our local Arabic Melkite Church they observe ancient practice: Eucharist is handled only by the priests. 2 altar boys hold a large embroidered cloth underneath the chalice instead of a paten, and the priest gives Communion only on the tongue. The communicant are standing but the reverence and dignity is total, just like in TLM. The crumbs from the cloth are treated with great respect.

      Like you I have difficulty getting up from kneeling on the ground without support. I can usually kneel and get up from the altar rail without using my hands for support. I am 65. But not everyone is physically able to do this.
      When there is no altar rail what I do is go down on my right knee with my left leg in front , bent at the knee , as One would while genuflecting; this way I am able to get up quickly after receiving and not hold up those behind me!

    Your Eminence, thank you and God Bless you father. I’m thankful for all clergy who commit themselves to Christ’s way to the Father.
    I heard you suggest the reforms to the novus ordo. I agree.
    At the same time, I will not be attending the novus ordo even with the changes you promote. I highly suggest that we Catholics who want the Mass of the centuries, be given overwhelming support and accessibility to the Traditional Latin Mass.
    Pope Francis, with respect and love, you are wrong in many ways your Holy Father. Amend your ways to avoid the fires of hell. Please. God Bless

    How wonderful you showed proper respect for the bishop, by dressing appropriately, I believe there’s only one or two podcasts that ware a tie on a regular basis, the majority dress casual, and I’ve seen them wear the same casual dress while interviewing Bishop Schneider, or say Bishop Strickland. I sometimes wonder what these podcasters ware when they attend mass. When I finally understood the full meaning while attending the Novas Ordo Mass, in respect I immediately switched to wearing a tie and coat, regardless of temperature and humidity. I have carried that over to where I now attend the traditional Latin Mass where I’m surprised to see many of the men wearing a simple dress shirt of polo shirt in the presents the king of Kings.

    That is wonderful you were able to interview Bishop Schneider. I like how you were dressed also, showing your respect for him and gratitude for the interview. However, I still don’t understand how you can say Communion on the tongue is the norm. Saying something is the norm means the usual or expected way of doing something. It seems when you say Communion on the tongue is the norm, you only say that because it says so in a book somewhere. It is not the norm when distributing Communion in most churches.

    Out of interest, I have looked up the correct form of address when conversing with a Bishop. In Ireland, it is “Your Grace”. In the USA, it is “Your Eminence”. In England, it is “My Lord”. The Church itself offers no guidance. In England, for example, the answer is to be found in Debretts.

    Just read about a Carmelite order that's been around over 400 years is closing because of lack of vocations.Very sad. A while ago we got this new priest who sat the host on the side of my tongue so that it nearly fell off,I think he did it on purpose. Have't been back for communion since.

    I worry at times if when I happen to agree with the criticism deserved or not of pope francis by catholics if I'm at risk of committing the sin against the Holy Spirit which cannot be forgiven.

    • @dianneraimondi8382
      @dianneraimondi8382 2 месяца назад +2

      Your not.please use common sense!

    • @Mark3ABE
      @Mark3ABE 2 месяца назад +1

      The answer to your question is “no”. The unforgivable sin, the sin against the Holy Spirit, or blasphemy against the Holy Spirit has always been understood as resisting what one knows to be the truth, or stating to be false what one knows to be true. Jesus is “the way, the truth and the light”. To know this but to refuse to accept it as true, or to say that Jesus is not those things, is to “blaspheme against the Holy Spirit”. Jesus Christ alone is Head of his Church. The Bishop of Rome, in addition to being the Ordinary of the Diocese of Rome, Primate of all Italy and President of the Italian Bishops Conference, also exercises, in the Universal Church, the Petrine Ministry, which is that of “confirming his brother Bishops” (in the Faith). He is most to be respected when he exercises the Petrine Ministry. In exercising other offices in the Church, he is no different to any other Bishop. For example, in addressing the Italian Episcopal Conference recently, he used a swear word and it has long been known that, in private, he is prone to use bad language and that he is often bad tempered. It would be perfectly appropriate for any of his fellow Bishops to correct him and to call upon him to be more Christlike in this respect. However, just the same, when he exercises the Petrine Ministry, the whole Church must defer to him. So, for example, when he says there cannot be female Deacons, that is final. We cannot argue with him on the point.

    • @jaqian
      @jaqian 2 месяца назад +2

      The sin against the Holy Spirit is when you attribute acts by the Holy Spirit to the evil one. But even this can be forgiven if you seek it but the problem is that those who go down that road will never ask forgiveness.

    Robert, regarding the priest who refused a politician communion because of his public stance on abortion, while I do not agree with this politician’s stance, as an extra-ordinary Minister of the Eucharist, suppose you refused communion to someone whom “you knew to be in sin”. However, unbeknownst to you, the person had repented (either publicly or privately, gone to confession and received absolution). We cannot possibly know all the facts that involve a contrite heart. We cannot judge what is in someone’s heart. How embarrassed, self-righteous, immoral and un-Catholic would you feel in this instance? “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get.” (Matthew 7:1-2)
